PM releases photo book titled "President Pranab Mukherjee - A Statesman"
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released a photo book titled "President Pranab Mukherjee - A Statesman", at an event in Rashtrapati Bhawan. He presented the first copy of the book to the President. The book is a comprehensive photographic record of India's 13th president. It covers Mukherjee's presidency and documents his various roles, the statement said. Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Prakash Javadekar and Vijay Goel besides BJP veteran L K Advani were also present on the occasion.

Reliance Corporate Advisory Services Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Capital, has invested 7 crore rupees in Billionloans Financial Services, a start-up that focuses on facilitating loans. V. Balakrishnan, former board member of Infosys, is currently the chairman of Billionloans. Nandan Nilekani, Helion's Sanjeev Aggarwal launch $100-million fund Fundamentum
Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani and Helion Venture’s Sanjeev Aggarwal have launched an investment fund called Fundamentum with a corpus of $100 million to back startups looking for growth capital. The corpus may be extended to $200 million if the fund sees more opportunities, the two founders said. The fund, which has so far closed $50 million, will see one-third of the corpus coming from Nilekani and Aggarwal. Fundamentum has already brought on board six entrepreneurs who will also invest in the fund.
Centre and Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a 220 million dollar loan
The Centre and Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a 220 million dollar loan for improving connectivity as well as transport efficiency and safety on State Highways of Rajasthan. The loan is the first tranche of the 500 million dollar Rajasthan State Highways Investment Program, approved by ADB Board in May this year. An official release said the first tranche loan will improve about one thousand kilometres of State Highways and major district roads.

DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) missile successfully test-fired
The Defence Research and Development Organisation on Monday successfully test fired an indigenously developed Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air-Missile (QRSAM). It was flight tested from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, off Odisha Coast at 11.30 a.m. This is the second test of the QRSAM. It was tested for the first time on June 4.

Tata Global Beverages Ltd. (TGBL) on Monday appointed Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran as chairman with immediate effect. TGBL’s board in a meeting held on Monday approved the “appointment of N. Chandrasekaran as an additional director and as chairman of the board of the company in place of Mr. Harish Bhat, who expressed a desire to step down as chairman,” the company said in a filing with the BSE.
