- Beyond - further away than something else
- Sectarian - caused by disagreements among people from different religious groups
- Gender-neutral - relating to policies or ideas that seek to avoid or remove obvious distinctions between genders
- Address - to give attention to or deal with a matter or problem
- Desertion - the act of leaving
- Spouse - a person's husband or wife
- Instant - happening immediately, without any delay
- Offence - an illegal act; a crime
- Amidst - if something happens amid particular feelings or events, it happens while people have these feelings or while these events are happening
- Persistent - lasting for a long time or difficult to get rid of
- Dilute - to reduce the strength of a feeling, action, etc
- Conceive - to invent a plan or an idea
- Cognisable - clearly identifiable
- Compoundable - compoundable offences are those offences where, the complainant (one who has filed the case, i.e. the victim), enter into a compromise, and agrees to have the charges dropped against the accused
- Verdict - an opinion or decision made after judging the facts that are given, especially one made at the end of a trial
- Despite - without taking any notice of or being influenced by; not prevented by
- Instance - a particular situation, event, or fact, especially an example of something that happens generally
- Deter - to prevent someone from doing something
- Resort - the fact that you have to do something because there is no other way of achieving something
- Redress - to put right a wrong or give payment for a wrong that has been done
- Subsistence - enough money or food to keep yourself alive
- Allowance - money that you are given regularly, especially to pay for a particular thing
- Custody - the legal right or duty to care for someone or something, especially a child after its parents have separated or died
- Err - to make a mistake or to do something wrong
- Tenet - a principle that is an accepted belief of a particular group
- Indeed - really or certainly, often used to emphasize something
- Abhorrent - morally very bad
- Obviously - in a way that is easy to understand or see
- Instantaneous - happening immediately, without any delay
- Irrevocable - impossible to change
- Abandon - to leave a place, thing, or person, usually for ever
- Subsist - to get enough food or money to stay alive, but no more
- Imprison - to put someone in prison
- Proponent - a person who speaks publicly in support of a particular idea or plan of action
- Invoke - to use a law in order to achieve something, or to mention something in order to explain something or to support your opinion or action
- Sectarian - caused by or feeling very strong support for the religious or political group that you are a member of, in a way that can cause problems with other groups

- Survive - to continue to live or exist, especially after coming close to dying or being destroyed or after being in a difficult or threatening situation

- Relentless - continuing in a severe or extreme way
- Farmland - land that is used for or is suitable for farming
- Pasture - grass or similar plants suitable for animals such as cows and sheep to eat, or an area of land covered in this
- Fragile - easily damaged, broken, or harmed
- Legacy - something that is a part of your history or that remains from an earlier time
- Imperil - to put something or someone at risk or in danger of being harmed or destroyed
- Exploitation - the use of something in order to get an advantage from it
- Embolden - to make someone brave or willing to take more risks
- Incursion - a sudden attack on or act of going into a place, especially across a border
- Denial - a statement that something is not true or does not exist
- Custodian - a person with responsibility for protecting or taking care of something or keeping something in good condition
- Undisturbed - not interrupted or changed in any way
- Jeopardise - to put something such as a plan or system in danger of being harmed or damaged
- Tremendous - very great in amount or level, or extremely good
- Billion-dollar - used to describe something that is worth at least one thousand million dollars
- Remedial - a remedial action is intended to correct something that is wrong or to improve a bad situation
- Accounting for something - to form the total of something
- Productive - resulting in or providing a large amount or supply of something
- Degradation - the process in which the beauty or quality of something is destroyed or spoiled
- Diplomacy - the management of relationships between countries
