Quantitative Aptitude Section has given heebie-jeebies to the aspirants when they appear for a banking examination. As the level of every other section is only getting complex and convoluted, there is no doubt that this section, too, makes your blood run cold. The questions asked in this section are calculative and very time-consuming. But once dealt with proper strategy, speed, and accuracy, this section can get you the maximum marks in the examination. Following is the Quantitative Aptitude quiz to help you practice with the best of latest pattern questions.

Q1. A says to B “I am twice as old as you were when I was as old as you are”. The sum of their ages is 63 years. Find the difference of their ages.

 Q3. Find the lateral surface area of a regular pyramid with triangular base, if each edge of the base measures 8 cm and slant height is 5 cm

Q4. How many different ways are possible to arrange the letters of the word “MACHINE” so that the vowels may occupy only the odd positions?

Q5. The number of ways in which a couple can sit around a table with 6 guests if the couple take consecutive seat is
(a) 1440

Directions (6-10): In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and 

Directions (11-15): Each of the given questions is followed by two statements numbered I and II. Answer each question using the following instructions.

(a) If the statement I alone is sufficient to solve the question, but statement II alone not
(b) If the statement II alone is sufficient to solve the question, but statement I alone is not
(c) if neither statement I nor statement II is individually sufficient to solve the question, but a combination of both is sufficient to solve the question
(d) If both statement taken together are not sufficient and more information is required to solve the question
(e) Either statement I or statement II is sufficient to solve the question

Q11. From the set of prime numbers, a number is selected at random. What is that number? 
I. The selected number is even. 
II. The largest number in the set is 3. 

Q12. At a seminar, the registration fee for existing members was Rs. 20 and the registration fee for new members was Rs. 25. If the total receipts from registration were Rs. 5500, did more existing members than new members pay the registration fee? 
I. Registration receipt from existing members were Rs. 500 greater than receipts from new members. 
II. The seminar had as many speakers as the number of members who attended it. 

Q13. If X and Y are integers between 10 and 99, both inclusive. Is (X – Y)/9 an integer? 
I. X and Y have the same digits but in reverse order. 
II. The tens digit of X is 2 more than unit digit and the tens digit of Y is 2 less than the unit digit. 

Q14. What is the value of n? 
I. n (n – 1) (n – 2) = 0
II. n2 + n – 6 = 0 

Q15. Prakash and Suraj are in a line to purchase tickets. How many people are in the line? 
I. There are 20 people behind Prakash and 20 people in front of Suraj. 
II.  There are 5 people between Prakash and Suraj and Prakash is behind Suraj.
