- Bad loan - a loan which is unlikely to be paid back
- Menace - someone or something that is dangerous and likely to cause harm
- Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
- Viable - able to be done, or worth doing
- Address - to give attention to or deal with a matter or problem
- Ailing - an ailing organization or economy is not strong or successful
- Non-performing asset - a loan or advance for which the principal or interest payment remained overdue for a period of 90 days
- Significant - very important
- Deteriorate - to become worse
- Turn the corner - to begin to be healthy, happy, or successful again after a difficult period
- Resolution - a formal proposal that is considered by an organization and is usually voted on at a meeting
- Insolvency - a situation in which a company or person does not have enough money to pay what they owe
- Bankruptcy - a situation in which a person or business officially admits that they have no money and cannot pay what they owe
- Induce someone to do something - to persuade someone to do something
- Rein in - to control an emotion, activity, or situation to prevent it from becoming too powerful
- Reckless - not thinking about the possible bad effects of your actions
- Systemic - affecting all of something
- Unsustainable - not capable of continuing at the same rate or level
- Regulate - to control an activity, process, or industry officially by using rules

- Essential - completely necessary
- Disclosure - the process of giving information to people, especially information that was secret
- Compensatory - intended to change or remove the bad result of something
- Afforestation - the action of planting trees on an area of land in order to make a forest

- Woefully - used for emphasizing that something is very bad or does not happen enough
- Debatable - something that is debatable is not certain because it is possible for people to have different opinions about it
- Disbursal - to pay out money, usually from an amount that has been collected for a particular purpose
- Remedy - a successful way of dealing with a problem or difficulty
- Biotic - relating to or resulting from living organisms

- Patchy - not detailed enough or complete enough to be useful
- Outcome - the final result of a process, meeting, activity etc
- Monoculture - the practice of growing only one crop in an area
- Biodiversity - the variety of different types of plant and animal life in a particular region
- Plantation - a large farm where crops are grown
- Inevitable - impossible to avoid or prevent
- Accumulation - the process by which something increases in amount or is collected together over time
- Annexation - the action of taking control of a country or region by force
- Habitat - the type of place that a particular animal usually lives in or a particular plant usually grows in, for example a desert, forest, or lake
- Contiguous - next to each other, or joining each other
- Apparatus - the people and organizations involved in some aspect of government
- Sequestration - removal or separation
- Distinct - separate and different in a way that is clear
- Envisage - to have something as a plan or an intention
- Audit - a careful examination of something, especially one done to find the amount, size, or effectiveness of something
- Sensibly - based on or acting on good judgment and practical ideas or understanding
- Deploy - to use something
- Emphasise - to give particular importance or attention to something
- Dwelling - a house or place to live in
- Sheer - used for emphasizing the amount or degree of something
- Immense - extremely large
- Augment - to increase the size, amount, or value of something
- Ecosystem - all the living things in an area and the way they affect each other and the environment
- Directive - an official order
- Credibility - qualities that someone / something has that make people believe or trust them
