SSC CHSL Skill Test Tier-III Examination 2016

Dear Students, Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CHSL Marks for Tier II Exam 2016. The exam for Tier II was a descriptive paper. Now, SSC has released the list of selected candidates for Data Entry Skill test for DEO & the list of selected candidates for typing test for LDC & Clerk. The exam was conducted to fill vacancies for the posts of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks and Court Clerk.

SSC CHSL Tier-III Exam 2016 Syllabus

In TIER-III exam, Skill Test/Typing Test will be held which would be of a qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II. The Tier 3 of SSC CHSL Exam 2016 comprises of a couple of skill tests which are required for certain government posts.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator(DEO): Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer. The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes

Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks: Typing Test will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the Examination, will have to indicate his/her choice/option for Skill Test Medium in the Application Form. Typing Test will be of qualifying in nature. It will be administered on the Computer, to be provided by the Commission or any agency authorized by the Commission. Candidates opting for English medium should have the typing speed of 35 words per minute. Candidates opting for Hindi medium should have the typing speed of 30 words per minute. The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes. Visually Handicapped candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 30 minutes 



Now, let’s discuss the Job Profile of Lower Division Clerks and Data Entry Operators.

The posts of LDC and DEO are both entry-level posts. The work that you will be given in beginning will be very basic i.e. dealing with clerical work, entering data on the computer, keeping track of all the documents etc. But as you will start getting used to the job the responsibilities and the work pressure will be increased so will the income. If your performance is good, you can get permission for studies easily.You need to have basic knowledge about computer and typing. But it is suggested that if you are not comfortable with using the computer please be in touch so that at the time of joining you do not have to face any problem.

LOWER DIVISIONAL CLERK (LDC)

As mentioned before LDC is an entry level post so the workload and pressure will not be high. You are expected to take care of basic and daily office work to maintain the flow of work in the office.
Their main job is to maintain data, office files, documents etc. with the highest efficiency so that there is no unwanted activity. LDC’s are supposed to get important files and documents for their seniors and get all the documents back to the senior on time. Working as an LDC you have to make salary slips of the staff and seniors working in various departments. The work of LDC is to fetch data from the library of information and serve them to the officer from time to time.

DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (DEO)

Data entry operator is also an entry-level post just like LDC. The work pressure will be mild in the beginning and will increase with the passage of time. You will be selected on the basis of knowledge you have in computers and English (or the language that you a proficient at) The work of DEO is to keep the data and information of the entire staff on the daily basis. DEO has to update all the important data into the computer and then sync it with the company’s profile. They are expected to keep data of the workers and all the staff.

Court Clerk: Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (pre-revised)
