Crack IBPS Exam 2017 - Reasoning Ability Scoring Part (Day-36):
Dear Readers, Nowadays most of the aspirants are facing huge trouble to increase the overall marks. To score high you need to practice more and more standard questions daily. “Practice does not make perfect, Only Perfect Practice makes perfect”.
Here in Scoring Part we are providing 15 Questions in Puzzles, Sitting Arrangements, 5 Questions in (Inequality, Coding, Alphanumeric, and Syllogism), and total 20 questions in 17 Minutes. By practicing these questions regularly you can increase you calculation speed and it will help you to increase you score.




Directions(1-5):In each question given below three statements are followed by two conclusions numbered I and II. You have to take all the given statements to be true even if they seen to be at variance with the commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and decide which conclusion logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts. Give answer
a) if either conclusion I or II follows.
b) if only conclusion I follows.
c) if neither conclusion I nor II follows.
d) if both conclusions I and II follow.
e) if only conclusion II follows.

1). Statements:
All writers are honest.
No honest is an engineer.
No artist is a writer.
Conclusions:
I. Some artists are honest.
II. All engineer being artist is a possibility.

No artist is a writer (E) + All writers are honest (A) = E + A = O* = Some honest are not artists. Hence, I does not follow. Again, All writers are honest (A) + No honest is an engineer (E) = A + E = E = No writer is an engineer +No artist is a writer (E) = E + E = No conclusion but the possibility in II exists. Hence II follows.
Answer: E)
2).Statements:
Some plants are trees.
All trees are woods.
All woods are shrubs.
Conclusions:
I. All woods being plants is a possibility.
II. Some trees are shrubs.

2). Answer: D)
Some plants are trees (I) + All tress are woods (A) = I + A = I = Some plants are woods. Thus the possibility in I exists. Hence conclusion I follows. Again, All tress are woods (A) + All woods are shrubs (A) = A + A = A . All trees are shrubs  implication  Some trees are shrubs. Hence conclusion II follows

3).Statements:
All workers are honest.
Some honest are poor.
No poor is rich.
Conclusions:
I. Some rich are not honest
II. All honest if they are workers are also rich

3). Answer: C)
Some honests are poor (I) + No poor is rich (E) = I + E = O = Some honests are not rich. Hence, conclusion I does not follow. Again, from statement first, second and third conclusion II may follow. Hence conclusion II does not follow.

4).Statements:
Some doors are windows.
No window is a wall.
All walls are buildings.
Conclusions:
I. All windows being buildings is a possibility.
II. Some doors being not a wall is a possibility.

4). Answer: D)
No window is a wall (E) + All walls are buildings (A) = E + A = O* = Some buildings are not windows. Hence the possibility in I exists. Hence, conclusion I follows. Again, some doors are windows (I) + No window is a wall (E) = I + E = O = Some doors are not walls. Hence, the possibility in II exists. Hence, conclusion II follows


5).Statements:
some computers are tablets.
All laptops are computers.
No phone is a laptop.
Conclusions:
I. No laptop is a tablet.
II. All computers being tablets is a possibility.

5). Answer: E)
All laptops are computers (A) + Some computers are tablets (I) = A + I = No conclusion. Hence, conclusion I does not follow. Again, from statement first the possibility in II exists. Hence conclusion II follows.


Directions (Q. 06-10): study the following information carefully to answer the given question.
A group of eight students A, B,C, D, E, F, G and H goes eight different cities viz Lucknow, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Patna, Jaipur and Bhopal for participating in eight different activities Drama, Painting, Dialogue, Music, Acting, Discussion, Sports and Adventure, but not necessarily in the same order. D participates in discussion and neither go to Bengaluru nor to Mumbai. H goes to Kolkata. C goes to Patna and participates in Sports. One who participates in Painting goes to Bhopal. B participates in Music. One who goes to Jaipur, participate in Acting. H doesn't participate either in adventure or in dialogue. A does not go to Bengaluru and Bhopal. E, who goes to Lucknow doesn't like adventure. G goes to Mumbai.

Directions (11-15): Study the following information carefully to answer the given questions
There are seven persons A, B, C, D, E, F and H sitting around a circular table. Three of them facing outside while rest are facing inside. They work in different companies viz — Airtel, HCL, Wipro, Intel, Microsoft, GAIL, and BHEL but not necessarily in the same order.
D is between C and a person who is facing outside and he is to the right of the later one. H, who works in company GAIL sits second to the left of E, who works with Airtel. A is fourth to the right of B and both are facing the same direction. The one who works with Intel is the neighbour of both E and H. D does not work with BHEL. The person who is facing inside is on the immediate right of that person who is facing outside. F and B are facing outside. The person who works with HCL sits on the immediate right of the one who works with Airtel. The person who works with Wipro sit on the immediate left of H. The person who works with Microsoft sits second to the right of F, who is an immediate neighbour of H.

Algeria, Australia, Belize, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cuba and Fiji, but not necessary in the same order, participate in a dance competition. All of them perform seven different dance style, viz Chhau, Bush, Brukdown, Samba, Horo, Rumba and Gavotte.
