Direction (Q.1-5): Each of the questions below consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read both statement and choose the most appropriate option. a) The data even in both statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.
b) The data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
c) The data in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
d) The data either in statement I alone or in statement II alone are sufficient to the answer the question.
e) The data in statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question while the data in statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.

1. How many persons are standing between L and K in a straight line of 19 persons? (Note: All are standing in a straight line, facing north).
I. Y stands on the extreme left end of the line. Only five persons stand between Y and K. Only six persons stand between K and R. Only four persons stand between R and L.
II. J stands exactly in the middle of the line. Only two persons stand between I and J. Only five persons stand between I and L. I stands to the left of L. K stands third to the left of J.

2. Among six persons A, B, C, D, E and F standing around a circle, some of them are facing the centre while others are facing outside the centre. What is the position of A with respect to E?
I. C stands second to the right of E. E faces outside. C is an immediate neighbour of both D and B. F stands second to the left of D. D faces the same direction as E.
II. Only two persons stand between B and E. Both B and E face outside. E is an immediate neighbour of both D and F. B is an immediate neighbour of both C and A. A is not an immediate neighbour of D.

I. T is costlier than only two mobiles. S is costlier than R but not the costliest. V is costlier than only W.

So, either I or II is sufficient to answer the question.

Direction (Q. 6-10): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Following are the conditions for selecting Senior Manager- Credit in a bank. The candidate must –(i) be a graduate in any discipline with at least 60 percent marks
(ii) have post qualification work experience of at least ten years in Advances section of a bank.
(iii) be at least 30 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.05.2017.
(iv) have secured at least 40 percent marks in the group discussion.
(v) have secured at least 50 percent marks in interview. In the case of a candidate who satisfies all the conditions Except—
(A) at (i) above but has secured at least 50 percent marks in graduation and at least 60 percent marks in post graduation in any discipline the case to be referred to the General Manager Advances.
(B) at (ii) above but has total post qualification experience of at least seven years out of which at least three years as Manager- Credit in bank, the case is to be referred to Executive Director.
In each question below details of one candidate is given. You have to take one of the following course of action based on the information provided and the conditions and sub- conditions given above and mark the number of that course of action as your answer. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these cases are given to you as on 01.05.2017.

Give answer (b) If the case is to be referred to General Manager- Advances.
Give Answer (c) If the data are inadequate to take a decision.
Give Answer (d) If the candidate is not be selected.

6. Pragathi has secured 50 percent marks in the interview and 40 percent marks in the group discussion. She has been working for the past eight years out of which four years as Manager- Credit in a bank after completing her B.A degree with 60 percent marks. She was born on 12th August 1978.

Pragathi does satisfy conditions (i), (B), (iii), (iv) and (v). Therefore, her case would be referred to Executive Director.

7. Anusha was born on 7th April 1987. She has been working in a bank for the past twelve years after completing her B.Com degree with 70 percent marks. She has secured 50 percent marks in both the interview and the group discussion.

Answer: C

8. Yashmin Banu was born on 4th march 1978. She has secured 65 percent marks in post graduation and 58 percent marks in graduation. She has been working for the past ten years in the Advances department of bank after completing his post graduation. She has secured 45 percent marks in the group discussion and 50 percent marks in the interview.

8). Yashmin Banu does satisfy conditions (A), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v). Therefore, her case would be referred to General Manager- Advances.

9. Vinay Kumar has been working advances department of bank for past twelve years after completing his B.Com degree with 60 percent marks. He has secured 50 percent marks in the group discussion and 40 percent marks in the interview.

9). Vinay Kumar does not satisfy the condition (v). So, he cannot be selected.

10. Satya Narayan was born on 28th December 1984. He has been working in the Advances department of a bank for the past eleven years after completing his B.Sc degree with 65 percent marks. He has secured 55 marks in the group discussion and 50 percent marks in the interview.

10). Satya Narayan does satisfy all the conditions. Therefore, he can be selected.
