1).Total number of students passed from State Karnataka
= 4800 × 66/100 = 3168
Total number of girls passed from State Karnataka = 1146
Total numbers of boys passed from State Karnataka = 3168 - 1146 = 2022
Required % = (2022 – 1146)/1146 × 100
= (876 × 100)/1146
Answer is: c)
2).Girls appeared = (7210/5) × 2 + (4800/16) × 7 + (5670/9) × 4 + (6400/16) × 5 + (7200/18) × 7 + (7080/12) × 5
= 2884 + 2100 + 2520 + 2000 + 2800 + 2950
Girls Passed = 1268 + 1146 + 1432 + 975 + 1224 + 1565 = 7610
Required % = (7610/15254) × 100

3).Total = {(7210/5) × 3 + (4800/16) × 9 + (5670/9) × 5 + (6400/16) × 11 + (7200/18) × 11 + (7080/12) × 7
= 4326 + 2700 + 3150 + 4400 + 4400 + 4130

4).Appeared girls = (6400/16) × 5 = 2000
Number of girls passed from Maharashtra = 975
Required % = 975/2000 × 100

5).Total number of boys appeared from all states together = 23106
Total number of boys passed from all states together
= 3058 + 2022 + 2537 + 3377 + 2880 + 3037= 16911
Total number of boys failed from all states = Number of boys appeared from all states - number of boys passed from all states
= 23106 - 16911

6).Marks obtained by students Vikranth and Shyam in Maths together
= (72 + 68) × 3/4
= 140 × 3/4
Marks obtained by Padma and Thilaga together in English
= (88+80) × 7/4
