Kanpur's Anandeshwar Temple adopts e-wallets for donation
In the wake of Centre's demonetisation move, Anandeshwar Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur city has applied for card swiping machines to help devotees donate through debit and credit cards. Temple is also accepting donations via Paytm.India, Vietnam sign Civil Nuclear deal
- India and Vietnam have signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement.
- With this, Vietnam became 14th country with which India has signed the civil nuclear deal. The MoU in Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy was signed by Sekhar Basu, Secretary of Department of Atomic Energy and Pham Cong Tac, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Science and Technology in New Delhi.
Union Government scraps import duty on wheat
The Union Government has waived the import duty on wheat to zero from 10 per cent for an indefinite period. This move aims to improve domestic availability in the wake of rising prices and concerns about the wheat crop in 2016-17.
