- Underwhelming - disappointing (fail to impress)
- Commonwealth - a group of countries with the same political or economic aims
- Democratic - based on the principles of democracy:
- Deepen - becomes stronger
- Investor - a person or organization that puts money into something in order to make a profit or get an advantage
- Stand in the way of somebody - to try to stop or prevent something or someone
- Engineer - to arrange cleverly and often secretly for something to happen, especially something that is to your advantage

- Negotiating - to have formal discussions with someone in order to reach an agreement with them

- Differentiated - o see or show a difference between things
- Upheld - if a court of law upholds something such as a claim, it says that it is correct
- Mitigating - making something less harmful, unpleasant, or bad
- Necessitating - to cause something to be needed, or to make something necessary
- Ambition - a strong wish to achieve something
- Weightage - the value or importance of something when compared with another thing
- Emerging - starting to exist
- Handicap - something that makes it difficult for you to do something
- Imperative - extremely important or urgent
- Emissions - the act of sending out gas, heat, light, etc
- Mandate - to give official permission / order for something to happen
- Adopting - to accept or start to use something new
- Lock-in - a length of time during which you are not allowed to end or change a financial arrangement
- Impact - a powerful effect that something, especially something new, has on a situation or person
- Preparedness - the state of being ready for something
- Regime - a system of rules that control something
- Transparency - an honest way of doing things that allows other people to know exactly what you are doing
- Preparatory - done as preparation for something else
- Modality - a particular way of doing or experiencing something
- Apprehension - worry about the future, or a fear that something unpleasant is going to happen
- Consensus - a generally accepted opinion or decision among a group of people
- President-elect - the person who has been voted to be president
