Definition: Worry or fear that something unpleasant may happen | the act of capturing or arresting someone, usually by the police.
Usage: Fearing apprehension by the police the criminal went into hiding.
2. Interminable
Definition: Lasting a very long time and therefore boring or annoying. Usage: He spoke for over an hour delivering what seemed like an interminable speech.
3. Discourse
Definition: The use of words to exchange thoughts and ideas | a long talk or piece of writing about a subject. Usage: " A critical discourse on important issues".
4. Enervating
Definition: Tending to deprive of strength or vitality. Usage: She found the constant stress to be enervating.
5. Sacrosanct
Definition: Too important and respected to be changed, criticized, etc. Usage: The priest entered the sacrosanct chamber in the temple.
6. Odious
Definition: Extremely unpleasant. Usage: The crime committed was so odious that people stormed the prison.
7. Congenial
Definition: Pleasant to spend time with because their interests and character are similar to your own ,pleasant because it suits your character,suitable for something. Usage: A congenial colleague.
8. Maladroit
Definition: Done without skill, especially in a way that annoys or offends people. Usage: His maladroit handling of valuable objects quickly led to his dismissal from his job at the museum.
9. Decadent
Definition: A person in a condition or process of mental or moral decay. Usage: It is a sign of the decadent state of education that so many students attempt to meet scholastic requirements by dishonest means.
10. Deprecate
Definition: To feel and express strong disapproval of something or someone, often yourself. Usage: Do not deprecate their actions until you know the whole story.
11. Acquiescence
Definition: The fact of being willing to do what someone wants and to accept their opinions, even if you are not sure that they are right. Usage: Good manners demanded our cheerful acquiescence to our host's plans for dinner.
12. Reparation
Definition: Money that is paid by a country that has lost a war, for the damage, injuries, etc. that it has caused | the act of giving something to someone or doing something for them in order to show that you are sorry for suffering that you have caused. Usage: The country paid millions in reparations.
13. Indemnification
Definition: To promise to pay someone an amount of money if they suffer any damage or loss | to pay someone an amount of money because of the damage or loss that they have suffered. Usage: The contract indemnifies them against loss of earnings.
14. Solo
Definition: Done by one person alone, without anyone helping them. Usage: It was a solo effort from the warrior.
15. Irate
Definition: Very angry. Usage: Never underestimate the power of the irate customer.
