Success Story: Rashid Habib, SBI PO 2016

October 14, 2016

Dear Friends,

I would like to share with you my success story…

Name – Rashid Habib

Gradeup user name – Rashid Habib

Qualification – B-Tech (EEE)

Success-Story-Rashid-Habib,-SBI-PO-2016

Basically its not a success story but the struggle story of a non serious bird who has this nasty habit of changing nests and many follower of this great blog will find resonance with it because most of engineers preparing for banks are the same bird.

I completed my B-tech in 2013 then got a job in a private firm after sitting idle for months. In only 4 months i realized private jobs are not my cup of tea. so left the job in April 2014 to prepare for Govt jobs, but i didn’t knew anything about studies as i never took studies seriously. My friend showed me the way of banking exams but i was torn between Banking and GATE.

Exams Given:-

  • Gave IBPS clerk 2014 secretively and failed miserably.
  • The same disaster followed in GATE 2015. Then i openly dedicated my all time to banking and evening time to tuition to support myself..
  • SBI Clerk mains 2016 – attempt 149
  • SBI PO 2016 mains attempt 91

MARKS IN SBI PO:-

  • Reasoning – 27.5 (cutoff-6),
  • DI – 15.5 (cutoff-6),
  • GA – 27.75(cutoff-10),
  • English – 18.5(cutoff-4),
  • Descriptive – 27 (cutoff-17.5)
  • Interview- 39 (cutoff-18)

TOTAL – 54 (cutoff – 44.43, OBC)

REMEMBER, THE FIRST STEP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE AND THE REST ARE JUST VESTIGE

Failed in SBI PO mains, in between gave many exams and failed, that time i wasn’t applying for clerk because of the cage of B-tech..

cleared IBPS PO mains (score- 81.5),interview marks – 65, failed final cutoff by 1.5 marks (OBC)..

REMEMBER, IF YOU ARE NOT SUCCEEDING IN SPITE OF FULL EFFORT, THEN DONT CHANGE THE AIM, JUST CHANGE THE WAY

Totally frustrated by IBPS PO V, i thought of going back to private job, but my family supported, BAS EK KADAM AUR…

I analyzed my marks and got to know that my weakness is GA and as i haven’t joined any coaching for banks (or even for GATE) just came to know about capsules 3 days prior to IBPS PO mains & got to know about this great app in January or February 2016 accidentally and i still thank god for it. It guided me a lot. So my main concern was GA, In April and may I gave all my time to GA & practiced daily from GradeUp.

Thanks again neeraj and avik sir, you are a gem…..
