Urjit Patel Appointed New RBI Governor - List of Governors of RBI

Dear Readers,
Deputy Governor of the RBI Urjit Patel has been appointed as the 24th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Urjit Patel, who was in-charge of RBI's monetary
policy, will replace Raghuram Rajan, who vacates office on September 4, 2016. The 52-year-old had studied at Oxford and Yale Universities and also served as an advisor to the Boston Consulting Group. Here is the list of Governors of RBI since its establishment in 1st April, 1935.
