Directions (11 -15): Rearrange the following six sentences (A), (B), (C), (D), (E) and (F) in the proper sequence to form a meaningful paragraph and then answer the questions given below.
A. India and its space agency, the ISRO, now proudly join their ranks
B. After a journey of over 660 million kilometers that took 10 months, India’s Mars Orbiter Mission has swept with effortless ease into orbit around the Red Planet, marking this country to achieve such a feat in a maiden attempt.
C. Thus far, only the United States, the former Soviet Union and the European Space Agency have succeeded in doing so.
D. Although ISRO could draw on its experience with the lunar probe, Chandrayaan-1, launched six years back, the challenges involved in sending a spacecraft all the way to Mars are far greater.
E. That includes propelling the spacecraft with sufficient velocity to escape Earth’s gravitational grasp, guiding it along the proper trajectory over vast distances, and then slowing it down sufficiently to go into orbit around that planet.
F. Probes dispatched to Earth’s sibling planet over the last half a century have often run into trouble of one kind or another, with only less than half of those spacecraft ending the voyage successfully.
11).Which of the following should be the FIRST sentence after rearrangement?

d) B
e) A
15).Which of the following should be the LAST (SIXTH) sentence after rearrangement?
1)a 2)c 3)e 4)d 5)a 6)d 7)c 8)a 9)b 10)e 11)b 12)c 13)a 14)e 15)d
Solutions:
1. A) I/E = 0.6 => E = I/0.6 = 67.2/0.6 = 112lakh
2. C) Import of B can’t be determined because no relationship between Company A and B is given.
3. E) IA/EA = 0.5 =>IA = 0.5 × EA = 0.5 × 116 = 58 lakh
IB/EB = 1.2 => EB = 1170/12 = 97.5 lakh
Therefore Sum = 58 + 97.5 = 155.5 lakh
4. D) I/E = 1.2
I1 = I – 25I/100 = 75I/100
E1 = E – E × 50/100 = 50E/100
Therefore I1/E1 = 75I/100 × 100/50E = 3/2 × I/E = 3/2 × 1.2 = 1.8
5. A) IA/EA = 1.2 =>EA = 102.6/1.2 = 85.5 lakh => IB/EB = 0.4
=> IB = 0.4 × 112.5 = 45 lakh
Therefore Required % = 85.5/45 × 100 = 190%
(6 – 10):
6. D) B is mother-in-law of A,
Hence, A’s position with respect to his mother-in-law is second to the right.
8. A) C is grandchild of A.
Thus, A’s position with respect to his grand child is immediate right.
9. B) Except C, all are females.
