Hi readers,
Congratulations to all the readers who cracked IBPS Clerk Prelims exam. Today I am showing to tell you how to start your preparations.
Quantitative Aptitude
Data interpretation is the major part of this section. Questions will involves complex calculation. There will be two sets in the exam, it's fine to skip one difficult set if there is shortage of time.
Easy chapters
- Series
- Arithmetic (Time & Work, Time & distance, Partnership, Ratio & Proportions, CI & SI, Algebra and Profit & Loss)
Normally it takes at least 10 minutes to solve a DI set. It's always a good idea to pick easy questions so skip 1 DI set.
In PO Mains, we saw Data Sufficiency, normally it's not a part of Clerk syllabus but you should prepare yourself for surprises.

General Awareness
General awareness is the low hanging fruit in this exam. If you are expecting to score 30+ in General awareness section just by a 60-70 pages capsule then that's the biggest mistake you can do. Read Current Affairs daily. I recommend you to install GK Digest Android Application to read current affairs daily. 100% questions will be asked from the contents of this application.
- Time management is the major issue for most of the candidates. General Awareness, Computer Awareness and English language can bring you more marks per minute.
- Read GK and current affairs everyday from GK Digest Android application
- Practice at least 5 mock papers in the last week of the exam
- Concentrate on scoring sections
- Make an exam strategy and attempt mock tests based on this strategy
