SSC has issued a clarification on the news item published in the Indian Express Delhi Edition dated 01.12.2015 regarding conduct of online examinations by Staff Selection Commission. The following clarifications are issued in this regard:
1. The meeting held on 09.11.2015 with the user departments was chaired by Shri A. Bhattacharyya, the then Chairman, SSC and not by Shri P.H. Pillai, Under Secretary as reported by the news paper. Shri Pillai issued the minutes of the meeting.
2. The deliberations/decisions in the meeting held on 09.11.2015 relate to recruitment to isolated Selection Posts and not about open examinations like CGL, CHSL, etc. The proposal to go online for open examinations online is under consideration of the Government.
3. For isolated Selection Posts, for which selection was being done through interview, recruitment will be made through online or objective type written examination, as may be found feasible.
