1. Election Commission of India announced the results of the 2015 Assembly elections of Bihar. The elections were held in 5 phases for 243 assembly seats. Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), JANATA DAL (UNITED) (JD(U)) and Indian National Congress (INC) emerged as the winner of the election with thumping two-third majority. RJD, a part of the grand Alliance with 80 seats emerged as the largest party.
भारतीय निर्वाचन आयोग ने 2015 बिहार विधानसभा चुनावों के परिणामों की घोषणा की। यह चुनाव 243 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए 5 चरणों में आयोजित किए गए। राष्ट्रीय जनता दल (राजद), जनता दल (यूनाइटेड) (जद (यू)) और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस (आईएनसी) के महागठबंधन दो-तिहाई बहुमत के साथ चुनाव के विजेता बना। राजद 80 सीटों के साथ गठबंधन की सबसे बड़ी पार्टी के रूप में उभरी।
2. The Indian men's team has jumped two places to be sixth in the latest International Hockey Federation (FIH) global hockey rankings, while the women's team remained at 13th. Men’s World Cup holders Australia and women’s Olympic and World champions the Netherlands remain at the top of the FIH rankings.
भारतीय पुरुष टीम नवीनतम अंतरराष्ट्रीय हॉकी महासंघ (एफआईएच) वैश्विक हॉकी रैंकिंग में दो स्थानों ऊपर पहँचकर छठे स्थान पर आ गयी है जबकि महिला टीम 13वें स्थान पर बनी हुई है। विश्व कप जीतने वाली ऑस्ट्रेलिया की पुरुषों की टीम तथा महिलाओं की ओलंपिक और विश्व चैंपियन नीदरलैंड की टीम एफआईएच रैंकिंग के शीर्ष पर बनी हुई हैं।
3. State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya topped the list of India's Most Powerful Business Women. Fortune India released the list of 50 most powerful women in the country. ICICI Bank Chairman and MD Chanda Kochhar is at second and Axis Bank MD and CEO Shikha Sharma is at third position on the list.
भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) की अध्यक्ष अरुंधति भट्टाचार्य भारत की सबसे शक्तिशाली बिजनेस वूमन की सूची में पहले स्थान पर हैं। फॉर्च्यून इंडिया ने देश की 50 सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं की नई सूची जारी की है। इस सूची में आईसीआईसीआई बैंक की अध्यक्ष एवं एमडी चंदा कोचर दूसरे और एक्सिस बैंक की एमडी एवं सीईओ शिखा शर्मा तीसरे पायदान पर हैं।
4. World's top-seeded Scottish player Andy Murray beat Novak Djokovic to win the Paris Masters for the fourth time. This is Djokovic's sixth Masters title of this year.
विश्व के शीर्ष वरीयता प्राप्त स्काटिश खिलाड़ी एंडी मरे ने नोवाक जोकोविक को हराकर चौथी बार पेरिस मास्टर्स खिताब जीता। यह इस साल का जोकोविक का छठा मास्टर्स खिताब है।
5. Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Taiwanese counterpart Ma Ying-jeou held a landmark meeting in Singapore, which was the first ever meeting between top leaders of the two sides. The meeting focused on relations across the Taiwan Straits. Relations between the two countries have remained cold and tense since China had claimed sovereignty over Taiwan since 1949.
सिंगापुर में चीनी राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग तथा उनके ताइवानी समकक्ष मा यिंग-जियु की ऐतिहासिक बैठक आयोजित की गई। यह दोनों देशों के राष्ट्राध्यक्षों के बीच अब तक की पहली बैठक थी। इस बैठक में मुख्यत: द्विपक्षीय सम्बन्धों के बारे में चर्चा हुई। चीन तथा ताइवान के सम्बन्ध 1949 में तबसे बेहद खराब रहे हैं जब चीन ने ताइवान की संप्रभुता पर अपना दावा किया था।
6. ‘INDRA 2015’, the 7th edition of the annual series of joint military exercises between India and Russia commenced at Bikaner, Rajasthan. The joint exercise this year focuses on ‘Counter Terrorism Operations in Desert Terrain under a United Nations Mandate’. The joint training would also focus on ensuring a high degree of physical fitness, tactical drills, techniques and procedures.
भारत और रूस के मध्य “इन्द्र-2015” नामक संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास का प्रारंभ राजस्थान के बीकानेर में शुरू हुआ। इस संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास को संयुक्त राष्ट्र के मरुस्थली क्षेत्रों में निर्धारित आतंकरोधी अभियानों के मानक के अनुसार आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इसमें मरुस्थली क्षेत्रों में सैन्य कार्रवाई करते समय शारीरिक क्षमता, कूटनीतिक क्षमता, तकनीक तथा प्रक्रियाओं को परिष्कृत करने पर जोर दिया जा रहा है।
7. India test-fired its nuclear-capable strategic ballistic missile Agni-IV, capable of hitting a target at a distance of 4,000 kms, from a test range off the Odisha coast as part of a user trial by the armed forces. The indigenously developed surface-to-surface Agni-IV missile is a two-stage weapon system. It is 20 metres long and weighs 17 tonnes.
भारत ने सशस्त्र बलों के प्रयोगकर्ता परीक्षण के तहत परमाणु आयुध ले जाने में सक्षम रणनीतिक बैलेस्टिक मिसाइल अग्नि-4 का प्रायोगिक परीक्षण किया। 4000 किलोमीटर तक की दूरी पर मौजूद लक्ष्य को भेद सकने वाली इस मिसाइल का परीक्षण ओडिशा के तट पर स्थित एक परीक्षण रेंज से किया गया। सतह-से-सतह तक मारने में सक्षम स्वदेशी मिसाइल अग्नि-4 में द्विचरणीय शस्त्र प्रणाली है। यह 20 मीटर लंबी और 17 टन भारी है।
8. In the study of 175 countries by anti-graft organisation Transparency International, India was ranked 85th on the Corruption Perceptions Index 2014, released by Transparency International. India was assigned a score of 38 points out of maximum score of 100. The Index rated Denmark as the least corrupt country with a score of 92. Somalia and North Korea jointly have been rated as the most corrupt countries with scores of eight.
भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी संगठन ट्रांसपेरेंसी इंटरनेशनल ने वैश्विक भ्रष्टाचार से सम्बन्धित वर्ष 2014 का सूचकांक जारी किया। इसमें शामिल कुल 175 देशों में भारत को 85वाँ स्थान प्रदान किया गया। इस सूचकांक में भारत को अधिकतम 100 अंकों में से कुल 38 अंक प्रदान किए गए। इस सूचकांक में डेनमार्क को 92 अंकों के साथ पहला स्थान दिया गया है जबकि सोमालिया तथा उत्तर कोरिया को मात्र 8 अंकों के साथ संयुक्त रूप से सबसे निचले स्थान पर रखा गया है।
