1. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which issues Aadhaar cards to Indian citizens, has been shifted to the administrative control of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology from Niti Aayog, keeping in mind the government's ambitious 'Digital India' programme as the Aadhaar numbers are being linked with several services. The Cabinet Secretariat has amended Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 and put it under Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeITy), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
भारतीय नागरिकों को आधार कार्ड जारी करने वाले भारतीय विशिष्ट पहचान प्राधिकरण (यूआईडीएआई) पर प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण नीति आयोग से वापस लेकर संचार एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय को सौंप दिया गया है। सरकार के महत्वाकांक्षी ‘डिजीटल इंडिया’ कार्यक्रम को ध्यान में रखकर ऐसा किया गया है क्योंकि कई सेवाओं से आधार संख्या का जुड़ा होता है। मंत्रिमंडल सचिवालय ने भारत सरकार (कामकाज आवंटन) नियम, 1961 में संशोधन किया है। सचिवालय ने यूआईडीएआई को संचार एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय के इलेक्ट्रानिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के पास भेज दिया है।
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ambitious Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) on the occasion of his visit to Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency. Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) is one of the flagship schemes of the Ministry of Power and will be at the core attempt to ensure 24×7 power for all by 2022. Rs. 45,000 crore will be spend on the scheme .
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने अपने लोकसभा क्षेत्र की अपनी यात्रा के अवसर पर महात्वाकांक्षी एकीकृत ऊर्जा विकास योजना (आईपीडीएस) का शुभारंभ किया है। एकीकृत ऊर्जा विकास योजना (आईपीडीएस) ऊर्जा मंत्रालय की सर्वप्रमुख योजनाओं में से एक है। इसका उद्देश्य वर्ष 2022 तक देश के सभी इलाकों में 24×7 घण्टे ऊर्जा उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करना है। केन्द्र इस योजना पर 45,000 करोड़ रुपए का व्यय करेगा।

4. Hamid Ansari, who arrived in Laos for a two-day visit, the first by an Indian Vice President to this country, held talks with his counterpart Bounnhang Vorachith. Two MoUs, including one on "quick impact projects" and another on air services agreement, were signed between the two sides after the talks.

In the report 71 locations were compared around the world. According to the report Zurich is the most expensive city in the world, which is followed by Geneva, New York, Oslo and London.

7. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched a significant financial inclusion initiative in Varanasi. A total of 101 e-rickshaws, 501 pedal rickshaws, and push-carts are being given as part of this initiative. The beneficiaries will also get bank accounts and RuPay cards under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. The initiative has been synergized through various financial institutions including SIDBI, IDBI Bank, UCO Bank and the American India Foundation.

This loan amount is for to 9 projects.
पीटीसी इंडिया लिमिटेड की ओर से प्रवर्तित पीएफएस ढांचागत परियोजनाओं को ऋण उपलब्ध कराने वाली प्रमुख कंपनी पीटीसी इंडिया फिनांशियल सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (पीएफएस) ने देश में नवीकरण ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं व ऊर्जा दक्षता परियोजनओं को वित्तीय मदद उपलब्ध कराने के लिए कुल मिलाकर लगभग 10 अरब रुपये के ऋण मंजूर किए हैं। यह ऋण राशि 9 परियोजनाओं के लिए है।
9. The pioneer of cricket commentary in Marathi who made the game more popular in Maharashtrian households, Bal Pandit passed away. He was 86. Maharashtra government bestowed him with the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award in 1978.

10. Metro Man E. Sreedharan has been invited to the United Nations' High Level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport (HLAG-ST). Sreedharan, the Principal Advisor to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, has been invited by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to serve on his HLAG-ST. The service is for a period of three years and Sreedharan has accepted the offer.
मेट्रो मैन ई. श्रीधरन को टिकाऊ परिवहन पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र उच्च स्तरीय परामर्श समूह (एचएलएजी-एसटी) में आमंत्रित किया गया है। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन के मुख्य सलाहकार श्रीधरन को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासचिव बान की मून ने आमंत्रित किया है। उन्हें एचएलएजी-एसटी में सेवा देने के लिए बुलाया गया है। सेवा अवधि तीन वर्षों की है और श्रीधरन ने इसे स्वीकार कर लिया है।
