RBI : Bits and Pieces

July 28, 2015

Dear Readers,
With RBI approaching, and just 4 days remaining, there are some things that you should take care while preparing. As all of you have already studied for SBI PO, so there is not much to do. The RBI Assistant will be of clerk level and in this exam, you need to attempt as many questions as possible in the given time. Below is the sectionwise details of the exam.

Now talking about the time management per section, you should divide it so that you can do maximum questions in each section. You can follow the below division that can help you decide how much time to devote in each section.

As you all are aware of the composite syllabus of the RBI Assistants, there are some topics in each section that one must attempt. These topics are considered to be the easiest and less time taking. Now let us discuss every section in detail :
1. Quantitative Aptitude :
This section is one of the scoring section and approximately every student tries to score maximum in this section. Questions from Inequalities, Series and Simplification and Approximation are must to do questions. You should try to attempt these first and then you can proceed with conventional quantitative aptitude. In conventional as well, try to attempt the DI as it is easy as well. After this, you can go for rest of the questions and the try to switch the subjects on time.
2. Reasoning Ability :
This section can get you more marks if proper time is allotted. You all know how important and easy this section will be in RBI Assistants exam. As this will be of clerk level, then you have to make most out of it. Syllogism, Coded Inequalities, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding and Direction Sense questions are must to do. Apart from these there will be on linear arrangement which can be easy as well. And try to do the Puzzle in the end and if time permits. If time doesn't allow then move to next section without hesitation.

3. English :

This is the most feared section when it comes to the banking entrance. But being the clerical level exam, you can easily attempt Cloze Test, Fillers, Some questions from Reading Comprehension, and move forward if you are not feeling comfortable. These parts should be accurate and it will help you clear the sectional cut-off. But if you are confident, then go for Sentence rearrangement and Error Detection as well.
4. General Awareness :
This section includes both banking awareness and current affairs. And the distribution of the questions will be even in this section. You can easily prepare this section from the capsule we provided during the SBI PO Exam. Apart from the capsule, we also published the Current Affairs for the month of July.
