- Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) along with Antrix - its commercial arm, will be launching five British Satellites that will be carried by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).

- Altogether these five satellites will weigh nearly 1440 kg and will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota on 10th July 2015.
Awards & Honors
- Punjab government has announced that it will honour 3,726 players with a cash prize worth Rs 15 crore for earning laurels to the state by bagging medals in national and international sports events during 2011 to 2015.

- This was decided in a departmental meeting held by the Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, who also holds sports portfolio.
- After inviting applications from medallists in various international and national sports events, sports department has selected 831 players in 2010-11, 518 in 2011-12, 745 in 2012-13 and 1,470 in 2013-14 and 2014-15 for cash prizes.
- Note : Punjab government has decided to include Net Ball and Kho-Kho game in sports policy from next year.

- Eminent Pakistani Urdu novelist Abdullah Hussain passed away.

- He was the author of the bestseller and critically- acclaimed 'Udas Naslain'.
- Besides 'Udas Naslain' - considered a masterpiece of Urdu literature, he will be remembered for his other famous novels - 'Baagh', 'Nadaar Loag' - and short stories 'Faraib and Nashaib'.
- Veteran actress Diana Douglas passed away.

- She is the mother of actor Michael Douglas.
- She appeared in dozens of films and TV shows including "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", "ER" and "The West Wing".

- Lewis Hamilton wins British Grand Prix 2015.
- Chile has won Copa America Title for the first time by defeating 14 time winner Argentina.
