Ganesh Chaturthi is purely a Hindu festival also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. People pray to lord Ganesha with devotion and ask for the happiness, prosperity and to remove all the hurdles coming their way. The festival is celebrated for 10 days in the month of August/September.
Ganesha Chaturthi starts with Vedic hymns, prayers, Vrata and Hindu texts such as Ganesha Upanishad. Distribution of Prasada and Modaka among the devotees is done. People use to make portray of Ganesh with Clay and keep it in the home or big Pandals (Stage) to worship Lord Ganesha.
After the completion of 10 days, Vidhi of Ganesh Visarjan is done which is the important part of this festival and performed according to Mahurat of Ganesh visarjan. If you feel lost, just remember that God, the Almighty is not a Shepard with a stick to protect you from all obstacles, rather he has blessed his creatures with intelligence, which we must use to find our own path, our own journey and to get past the difficulties in life.
