Q1. Total production of Maruti in year 2011, 2012 and 2013 together is what percent more/less than total production of Honda in same years?
 
 
 
 
 
Solution:
Total production of Maruti in year 2011, 2012 and 2013 together = 60 + 55 + 50 = 165 lakhs

Total production of Honda in year 2011, 2012 and 2013 together = 40 + 45 + 50 = 135 lakh


Q2. Average production of Maruti in year 2014, 2015 and 2016 together is how much more/less than the average production of Honda in year 2014, 2015 and 2016 together. (in lakhs)

Q7. Mohan has two sons named Ram and Karan. The ratio of age of Mohan and Ram is 5 : 2 and that of Ram and Karan is 8 : 5. Also, Ram is 6 years elder than Karan. Find the ratio of their ages after 10 years.

Ratio of Mohan and Ram’s age = 5 : 2
Ratio of Ram and Karan’s age = 8 : 5
Ratio of Mohan, Ram and Karan’s present age = 20 : 8 : 5
Let Mohan, Ram and Karan age be 20x, 8x and 5x respectively.
∴ ATQ,
3x = 6 
x = 2
⇒ ratio of their ages after 10 years
= 40 + 10  :  16 + 10  :  10 + 10
= 50 : 26 : 20 = 25 : 13 : 10



Q8. In a right angled triangle of hypotenuse 15 cm, the remaining two sides are in the ratio 3 : 4. If smaller side is equal to radius and second longer side is equal to height of right circular cylinder, find volume of cylinder?
