We all want better healthcare & childcare services, improved transportation services and roads free of potholes, fair taxation policies, adequate monthly income, advanced education and better local amenities. Because all these services are run by our government, it becomes important for all of us to cast votes in the general elections.
Voting is not just a way to make our voices heard but it also plays an important part in making the difference.
Also, it gives us an opportunity to change the government we are unhappy with and save the government we are content with. If interested in none, the Government of India has made a provision for such voters to exercise their votes as well. NOTA, which stands for None of the Above allows us to vote for none of the parties taking part in the elections.
The Election Commission of India, in order to take forward its continuous efforts of building an active democratic citizenry in the country, has designed Mobile Applications to provide election-related information to voters across the country. You can check the applications on google play store.
We should not forget that someone fought for our "Right to vote". So, as responsible citizens of India, cast your votes to demonstrate your respect for our democratic Republic.
