"Whatever Happens, Use That and Make Yourself Move on", says Saran Raj | IBPS PO & Clerk - 43

April 10, 2019

Well I am not an outspoken person. Just want to share this to people who are getting fed up and frustrated each day.

I completed my graduation in 2015. I pursued Mechanical Engineering and got placed in Cognizant. I worked there for almost 1 year and 8 months. I worked really hard, got appreciations but still I thought I can't survive there. I thought I don't want to die as a corporate employee. So I quit and took IAS coaching for one year but I failed. Meanwhile I was giving all kinds of exams and got failed in all. I failed in IBPS Clerk Mains, IBPS PO Prelims because I didn't take that seriously.

After UPSC Prelims Results, I started preparing for bank exams. I use to practice questions from bankersadda and see all banking preparation videos. After August, three of my pet dogs got sick and passed away. That hit me a real hard. Meanwhile I got selected in IBPS PO Prelims. Within one week, my father got sick and got admitted in hospital. After 2 weeks, he passed away on 12th November 2018. IBPS PO Mains was meant to be held on 18th November. I didn't prepare anything. Within three to four days, I started revising some sums and read some capsules. During my exam, my father's face was coming on to the mind yet I decided I want to pass this because I wanted to take care of my family from where my father left. I got selected in Mains and prepared so hard for Interview.

After January 30, three months was like a HELL to me. Everyone started scolding me for not taking up any job. My mother trusted me so much. On April 1, 2018, I got selected as Probationary Officer in Bank of India with an interview marks of 16 out of 20. I got selected as Clerk in Canara bank too.

Whatever happens, use that happiness, sad feelings, anger and everything. Convert that into energy and work hard. Success will follow you for sure. All the best for all the aspirants. Thank you.
