Solutions :
1.
Salary of O is 62.5% of his total income
So, Salary of O = (6.25/100) x 6000 = Rs. 3750
Salary of N is 25% of his total income
So, Salary of N = (25/100) x 7000 = Rs. 1750
=> Difference in their salaries = Rs. (3750 - 1750) = Rs. 2000
2.
The interest from P's savings is 25% of his income.
=> Interest from his savings = (25 / 100) x 8000 = Rs. 2000
3.
Incentives of N are 25% of his total income and so is his salary.
=> Salary of N is also Rs. 2000
4.
Salary of M is 50% of his total income, hence his salary will be 1/2 of his total income.
Note : The actual amount does not matter as figures in percentage can be directly considered for the fractional part.
5.
I - Cannot be inferred as the salaries or total income of P and M is not known.
II - Salary of N is 25% of his total income and so is his incentives. Hence, they are qual.
III - Cannot be inferred as the actual figures are not known.
So the answer is option 2.
6.
Total number of Tokia mobiles sold in 2006
= 3,20,00,000 x (110/100) x (120/100) x (85/100) x (125/100) x (108/100) = 48 milllion
7.
The number of Zamsung mobiles sold in 2004
= 48000000 x (115/100) x (125/100) x (70/100) = 48300000
The number of Mericson mobiles sold in 2004
= 50000000 x (90/100) x (120/100) x (110/100)
= 59400000
=> Required ratio = 483 / 594 = 161 / 198
8.
The number of Notorala mobiles sold in 2005
= 56 x 1.1 x 0.9 x 1.15 x 1.2 = 76.5 million
The number of Rower mobiles sold in 2005
= 60 x 1.2 x 1.15 x 1.1 x 0.8 = 73 million
=> The required difference = 76.5 - 73 = 3.5 million
9.
Total number of mobiles sold in 2002
= 32 x 1.1 + 48 x 1.15 + 56 x 1.1 + 50 x 0.9 + 60 x 1.2 = 269
10.
Total number of Zamsung mobiles sold in 2005 (in millions)
= 48 x 1.15 x 1.25 x .7 x 1.08
= 52.164
11.
Let the income of A and B in 2012 be Rs. 100
=> Income of A in 2013 = Rs. 125
=> Income of B in 2013 = Rs. 110
=> Expenditure of A in 2012 and 2013 together
= Rs. 70 + Rs. 125 x (64/100) = Rs. 150
Expenditure of B in 2012 and 2013 together
= Rs. 76 + Rs. 110 x (70/100) = Rs. 153
=> Required ratio = 150 : 153 = 50 : 51
12.
As there is no information regarding income we cannot say.
13.
Let income of B in 2011 be Rs. 100
Given 15% = Rs. 1.44 lakh
I = Rs. 9.6 lakh
=> Income of B in 2010 = (5/6) x Rs. 9.6 lakh = Rs. 8 lakh
= (1/5) x Rs. 8 lakh = Rs. 1.6 lakh
14.
Let income of A in 2008 be 5i
=> Income of B in 2008 = 4i
Given,
(76/100) x 5i + 0/100) x 4i = Rs. 6.25 lakh
=> 3.8i + 3.6i = 7.4i = Rs. 9.25 lakh
=> Average savings of A and B in 2008
= 1/2 (1.2i + 0.4i ) = 0.8i
= 0.8 x (1/7.4) x Rs. 9.25 lakh
= 8 x Rs. 0.125 lakh
= Rs. 1 lakh
15.
Consider E and P as one unit as also O and I.
We have four things to be arranged in a straight line (two groups and two alphabets)
Total number of ways = 4!
(Rearrangement within a group is not considered as E and O should be immediately before P and I, respectively).
