Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. It becomes very important to learn ample amount of words for the upcoming Government Job Exams. You can learn new words daily from our Daily Word List . Here is a list of words from daily Editorials. Learn the words and make your own sentences on the basis of the given word list.

1. ABET (verb) : उकसाना
Meaning: encourage or assist (someone) to do something wrong.
Synonyms: ferment, incite, instigate, encourage.
Antonyms: constrain, curb, inhibit, tame.
Example: During the press conference, the president vowed severe consequences for any person or group who chose to abet the terrorists

2. MEDDLE: (verb) : हस्तक्षेप करना
Meaning: interfere in something that is not one’s concern.
Synonyms: interlope, intrude, poke, pry.
Antonyms: shun, disregard, neglect, overlook.
Example: The government should never meddle with religious affairs.

3. BUCOLIC (adjective) : ग्राम्य
Meaning: relating to the pleasant aspects of the countryside and country life.
Synonyms: rustic, rural, pastoral, country
Antonyms: urban
Example: Even though I was born in the city, I still prefer the quiet of a small bucolic village any day.

4. BOLSTER (verb) : सहारा
Meaning: support or strengthen.
Synonyms: strengthen, support, reinforce, boost
Antonyms: undermine
Example: In order to bolster its profits, the computer company is cutting its workforce.

5. ADDLE (Verb) : भ्रमित
Meaning: make (someone) unable to think clearly; confuse.
Synonyms: muddled, confused, fuddled
Antonyms: clarify, enlighten, explain
Example: The disease will addle your grandmother’s mental capacity and cause her to lose her memory.

6. IRE (Noun) : गुस्सा
Meaning: anger.
Synonyms: anger, rage, fury, wrath
Antonyms: calmness, comfort, delight
Example: The doctor’s rude behavior triggered the patient’s ire.

7. STYMIE (Verb) : गतिरोध
Meaning: prevent or hinder the progress of.
Synonyms: hamper, hinder, obstruct, inhibit,
Antonyms: assist, help
Example: The famous pianist refused to let his blindness stymie his successful career.

8. OBVIATE (Verb) : मुक्त हो जाना
Meaning: remove (a need or difficulty).
Synonym: avert, forestall,prevent, preclude
Antonym: cultivate, encourage, forward, foster
Example: Because he wanted to obviate the strain of climbing the stairs, Dr. Johnson ordered the patient to have his bedroom furniture moved to the room on the bottom floor.

9. NOTION (Noun) : धारणा
Meaning: a conception of or belief about something.
Synonyms: approach, perception, impression, conception.
Antonyms: concrete, reality, ignorance, misunderstanding.
Example: The boy’s classmates laughed at his notion of becoming a cheerleader.

10. INCESSANT (Adjective) : निरंतर
Meaning: (of something regarded as unpleasant) continuing without pause or interruption.
Synonyms: ceaseless, unceasing, constant, continual
Antonyms: intermittent, occasional
Example: With this incessant rainfall, we might get flooded out.
