Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. It becomes very important to learn ample amount of words for the upcoming Government Job Exams. You can learn new words daily from our Daily Word List . Here is a list of words from daily Editorials. Learn the words and make your own sentences on the basis of the given word list.

1. INCAPACITATED (adjective) अक्षम
Meaning: deprived of strength or power; debilitated.
Synonyms: crippled, decrepit, enfeebled, frail.
Antonyms: powerful, strong, sturdy, stout.
Usage: In states such as Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, “countless children are growing up with parents in jail, incapacitated or underground”.

2. BEDROCK (noun)  आधार
Meaning: the fundamental principles on which something is based.
Synonyms: core, base, cornerstone, keystone.
Antonyms: culmination, peak, pinnacle, summit.
Usage: Some people believe that the family is the bedrock of society.

3. RELIC (noun) अवशेष
Meaning: a trace of some past or outmoded practice, custom, or belief.
Synonyms: vestige, antique, artifact, residue.
Antonyms: modern, recent, latest, neoteric.
Usage: The piece of pottery was a relic of the past that evoked in me a feeling of nostalgia.

4. DIVEST (verb) विनिहित करना
Meaning: to set (a person or thing) free of something that encumbers.
Synonyms: disencumber, rid, emancipate, release.
Antonyms: hamper, restrain, shackle, encumber.
Usage:  Under the new deal, the company agreed to divest itself of half its revenues, so they could distribute it among their creditors.

5. BERATE (verb) जोर से डाँटना
Meaning: cold or criticize (someone) angrily.
Synonyms: castigate, chastise, lambaste, reprimand.
Antonyms: approve, extol, laud, praise.
Usage: Every time the referee made a questionable call, the fans would berate him and throw beans on the field.

6. SHODDY (adjective)  बेकाम
Meaning: badly made or done.
Synonyms: trashy, crude, junky, duff.
Antonyms: prestigious, reputed, elegant, upright.
Usage: Because of shoddy accounting practices, our firm is being audited.

7. ARCHETYPAL (adjective) आदर्श
Meaning: very typical of a certain kind of person or thing.
Synonyms: conventional, exemplary, stereotypical, prototypical.
Antonyms: atypical, unorthodox, unusual, odd.
Usage: The teacher who won educator of the year is a role model for other teachers and is viewed as the archetype of educators.

8. FAWNING (adjective) ख़ुशामदी
Meaning: displaying exaggerated flattery or affection; obsequious.
Synonyms: sycophantic, ingratiating, subservient, cajoling.
Antonyms: imperious, domineering, peremptory, opinionated.
Usage: Because Larry really wants a promotion, he spends a great deal of time fawning over his boss.

9. FABLED (adjective) कथा में बर्णन किया हुआ
Meaning: mythical; imaginary.
Synonyms: fictitious, hypothetical, apocryphal, allegorical.
Antonyms: authentic, existent, factual, confirmed.
Usage: Long after the kingdoms of southern Arabia disappeared, the fabled riches of the region live on in the popular imagination.

10. INSTAURATION (noun) नवीनीकरण
Meaning: the action of restoring or renewing something.
Synonyms: foundation, institution, installation, initiation.
Antonyms: eradication, closure, abolition, wreck.
Usage: The system can easily attain the instauration and management of websites and be easily transplanted to any other congeneric websites.
