Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. It becomes very important to learn ample amount of words for the upcoming Government Job Exams. You can learn new words daily from our Daily Word List . Here is a list of words from daily Editorials. 1. UNBEKNOWNST (Adjective) : अनजान
Meaning: without the knowledge of (someone).
Synonyms: Unknown, undiscovered, concealed, mysterious
Antonyms: Known, realised, recognised, understood
Example: Unbeknownst to Natasha, Kurt saw his mistress three times a week

2. SHUN (Verb) : टालना
Meaning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.
Synonyms: avoid, evade, eschew, ignore
Antonyms: accept, seek, welcome
Example: Investors began to shun our company’s stock, causing it to plummet in value

3. WREST (Verb) : मरोड
Meaning: forcibly pull (something) from a person's grasp.
Synonyms: wrench, snatch, seize, grab
Antonyms: give
Example: Rita felt she had to wrest the weapon from the hostage-taker for the sake of her safety.

4. MUSTER (Verb) : संग्रह
Meaning: collect or assemble (a number or amount).
Synonyms: assemble, collect, congregate, convene
Antonyms: avoid, destroy, disperse, dodge
Example: The two football teams muster in their respective huddles before each play.

5. VILIFY (Verb) : तिरस्कार करना
Meaning: speak or write about in an abusively disparaging manner.
Synonyms: disparage, denigrate, defame, revile
Antonyms: commend, lionize
Example: The politician wrote an article to vilify his opponent.

6. OVERTURE (Noun) : सन्धि प्रस्ताव
Meaning: an approach or proposal made to someone with the aim of opening negotiations or establishing a relationship.
Synonyms: approach, proposal, tender, suggestion
Example: He began making overtures to British merchant banks.

7. TOUT (Verb) : प्रशंसा करना
Meaning: attempt to persuade people of the merits of.
Synonyms: laud, praise, publicize, acclaim
Antonyms: conceal, condemn
Example: All doctors tout the benefits of eating nutritiously and exercising regularly.

8. BAIT (Noun) : प्रलोभन
Meaning: something intended to entice someone to do something.
Synonyms: enticement, lure, decoy, snare, trap
Antonyms: discouragement, repulsion
Example: People use maggots as bait when they go fishing.

9. DASTARDLY (Adjective) : दुष्ट और क्रूर
Meaning: wicked and cruel.
Synonyms: wicked, evil, iniquitous, heinous, villainous
Antonyms: noble, praiseworthy
Example:  I think, however, that the killing of Bin Laden will motivate extremists to carry out a variety of dastardly deeds.

10. CONFOUND (Verb) : उलझाना
Meaning: cause surprise or confusion in (someone), especially by not according with their expectations.
Synonyms: amaze, astonish, dumbfound, stagger
Antonyms: Clarify, enlighten
Example: The purpose of the article is not to confound the readers but to inform them.
