Q5. According to the modern theory of nature of light, the light was
(a) wave nature only /केवल तरंग प्रकृति का
(c) both wave and particle (dual) nature /तरंग और कण दोनों प्रकृति का
Show Answer
S5. Ans.(c)
Sol. Most commonly phenomenon i.e. reflection, refraction, interference diffraction, polarization can be explained by wave nature of light. But the photoelectric effect suggested a particle nature of light. Hence, light shows wave as well as particle (dual) nature.
According to the modern theory of nature of light, the light has both wave and particle nature.

Q6. According to Coulomb’s law, the electrostatic force between two charges is
(a) inversely proportional to the product of the charges / आवेशों के उत्पाद के विपरीत आनुपातिक
(b) inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges / आवेशों के बीच की दूरी के वर्ग के व्युत्क्रमानुपाती
(c) directly proportional to the cube of the distance between charges / सीधे आवेशों के बीच की दूरी के घन के आनुपातिक
(d) none of these /इनमें से कोई नहीं
Show Answer
S6. Ans.(b)
Sol. Electrostatic force of attraction or repulsion between two charges (q_2  and q_2 ) at a distance (r) is directly proportional to the product of charges and inversely proportional to the square of distance between the charges i.e.
According to coulanb’s law, F∝1/(4πϵ_0 )  (q_1 q_2)/r^2
or F = 1/(4πϵ_0 )  (q_1 q_2)/r^2

2. The average lifespan of a CFL is much longer than that of LED lamp.
3. A CFL is less energy – efficient as compared to an LED lamp.
Which of the statement(s) given above is/are correct?
(a) 1 only /केवल 1
(b) 2 and 3 /2 और 3
(c) 1 and 3 /1 और 3
(d) 1, 2 and 3 /1,2 और 3
Show Answer
S7. Ans.(c)
Sol. To produce light, a CEL uses mercury vapour and phosphorus while an LED lamp uses semi-conductor material. LED light bulbs are the undisputed, heavy weight champion with lifepan of 25,000 hours while CFL bulbs which bring in a respectable 8,000 hours of overage life expectancy.
