Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. 2.AGITATE : उत्तेजित करना
Meaning:to promote something
Synonyms:disturb, beat
Antonyms:calm, soothe
Example:They’re agitating for better health care.

3.ANALOGOUS : अनुरूप
Meaning:similar but not identical
Synonyms:akin, alike
Antonyms:unlike, alien
Example:Green onions are considered analogous to spring onions.

4.BITTERSWEET: मीठापन जिसके अंत में कटूता हो
Meaning:tinged with a feeling of sadness
Synonyms:tangerine
Antonyms:happiness
Example:The ending of the romance movie was bittersweet.

5.BRAWL : विवाद
Meaning:an intense, loud fight
Synonyms:uproar, clash
Antonyms:calm, peace
Example:A brawl broke out at school today after one student accused another of cheating.

6.CIVIC : नागरिक
Meaning:relating to the city or citizens
Synonyms:local, public
Antonyms:tribal
Example:Voting is a civic duty.

7.DECREE : हुक्मनामा
Meaning:to declare formally and with authority
Synonyms:directive, edict
Antonyms:lawlessness
Example:The president decreed that Halloween would henceforth be a national holiday.

8.DUBIOUS : संदिग्ध
Meaning:doubtful, questionable
Synonyms:arguable, hesitant
Antonyms:honest, certain
Example:The man’s claims to the throne were dubious since nobody knew where he’d come from.

9.IMPART : प्रदान करना
Meaning:to transmit, bestow, or disclose
Synonyms:impose,bestow
Antonyms:keep, withhold
Example:Parents must impart common sense to their children.

10.INFER : अनुमान करना
Meaning:to guess, conclude, or derive by reasoning
Synonyms:assume,consider
Antonyms:neglect
Example:You can infer from this quotation that the writer didn’t care for “pretty” language.
