2. Sharmila Nicollet
Become the first Indian golfer to qualify for the China Ladies PGA Tour.
  • Sharmila, who played on the Ladies European Tour before losing her full card, played her three rounds in the CLPGA Tour Qualifying School in 77-73-72 to finish in tied 21st and pick one of the 30 cards available in the 88-player field.
3. Indu Malhotra
First woman lawyer to become Supreme Court Judge.
4. Abhilasha Kumari
First women Chief Justice of Manipur HC. 
  • She became first women and third full-time Chief Justice of Manipur High Court.
5. Avani Chaturvedi
First woman fighter pilot to fly fighter jet. 
  • A 24 years girl completed a solo flight in a MiG.-21 Bison fighter aircraft.
6. Sridevi
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Mom in the 19th edition of the Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Bangkok.
7. Usha Ananthasubramanian
First woman chairman of Indian Banks’ Association IBA for the year 2017-18. 
  • She succeeded Jatinder Bir Singh. Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of State Bank of India was elected Deputy Chairman of IBA for the year 2017-18.
  • IBA is the banking sector’s industry body, whose objective, among others, is to promote and develop sound and progressive banking principles, practices and conventions and to contribute to the developments of creative banking in the country.
8. Hima Das
Becomes first Indian woman to win gold in World Jr Athletics C'ships in the women's 400m final race in the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships in Tampere, Finland on July 12, 2018.
9. Frances McDormand
Best Actress 2018 Oscar winner for her performance as Mildred in the film THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI
  • This is the fifth Academy Award nomination for Frances McDormand. 
  • She was previously nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role for NORTH COUNTRY (2005), ALMOST FAMOUS (2000), MISSISSIPPI BURNING (1988).  In 1996, McDormand was an Oscar winner for Best Actress in a Leading Role for FARGO.
10. Mamta Kalia She is the eminent Hindi writer. She was honoured with literary award Vyas Samman for year 2017 for her novel 'Dukkham Sukkham'. The Vyas Samman is given to a Hindi literary work published in the past 10 years. It is awarded annually by the K.K. Birla Foundation
11. Mirabai Chanu She is an Indian Female Weightlifter. She hails from Manipur. She won a gold medal (48kg) at the World Championships Weightlifting Competition in California. She became only the second Indian after Karnam Malleswari to achieve this feat.
12. Priyanka Chopra She is an Indian Bollywood actress. She won Mother Teresa Memorial Award for her work as a cause of fighting for the rights of refugees and displaced people. She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador as well.
13. Indra Nooyi She is an Indian American business executive and currently the Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo. She has consistently ranked among the World's 100 Most Powerful Women. The International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi to the ICC Board as the organization's first independent female director. Mrs. Indra Nooyi joined the Board in June 2018 to align with the term of the ICC Independent Chairman.
14. Aanchal Thakur She is an Indian Female Alpine Skier. She won India’s first International medal in Skiing at the FIS International Skiing Competition held in Turkey (Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup).
15. Parbati Ghose She was an Odia actress and director.  Also she is Odisha’s first female filmmaker. She was passed away in Feb 2018. She is as producer for films Bhai Bhai (1956), Lakshmi(1962) and Kaa(1966).
16. Asma Jahangir She was a Pakistani Human Rights Lawyer and social activists. She passed away in feb 2018. She is regarded as Asia’s Joan of arc. She became Pakistan’s first woman to serve as the President of Supreme Court Bar Association. She had also served as the UN special Rapporteur on freedom of religion. She had won Ramon Magsaysay award and Officier de la legion d’honneur by France.
17. Neelam Kapur She is an Indian Information Service officer of 1982 batch. She has taken over as Director General, Sports Authority of India. Earlier she has headed Directorate of Fil, Festivals, Directorate of Audio Visual Publicity (DAVP) and Directorate of Field publicity(DFP).
18. Indu Malhotra She is senior counsel practising in the Supreme Court of India. She was the second woman to be designated Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court in 2007. She has been unanimously recommended for the appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court. She will also be the first woman judge to be elevated directly from the bar.
19. Sridevi
Sridevi Boney Kapoor was an Indian actress and film producer who starred in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films. she is  the recipient of five Filmfare Awards. She passed away at age of 54 due to cardiac arrest in Dubai.
20. Aung San Suu Kyi She is a Burmese politician, diplomat, and winner of a Nobel Peace Prize. She is the leader of the National League for Democracy and also  the first and incumbent State Counsellor. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has revoked a prestigious human rights award it had given to the Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, for failing to halt or even acknowledge the ethnic cleansing Rohingya Muslim minority.
21. Bidya Devi Bhandari She became Nepal's first woman president in 2015. She has been re-elected for a second term in office. She defeated Nepali Congress leader Kumari Laxmi Rai with an overwhelming majority. She won as her nomination was backed by the ruling Left alliance of the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre), the Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal and other fringe parties.
22. Aditi Rao Hydri She is an Indian actress who has worked in many hindi as well as tamil movies. She has been honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence award for her role in movie ‘Bhoomi’ starring Sanjay Dutt. She was honoured as best leading lady (critics award).
23. Manu Bhaker She is 16 year old Indian shooter hails from Jhajjar, Haryana. She won two gold medals in shooting competition at the 2018 ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico. She won her first gold medal at 10m air pistol individual event and second with partner Om Prakash Mitharval in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
24. Aruna Reddy She is an Indian female artist gymnast from Hyderabad. She won bronze medal in 2018 World Cup Gymnastics in women’s vault event held in Melbourne.
25. Begum Hamida Habibullah She was a former Rajya Sabha member from 1976 to 1982 who passed away at the age of 101. She had worked with Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA).
26. Krishna Kohli She is a Pakistani politician of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led Pakistan People’s party (PPP). She was elected to the member of the Senate of Pakistan, the upper house of Pakistan. She is the first Hindu Dalit woman and  the second Hindu woman to hold the positon. She sometimes called by nickname Kishoo Bai.
27. Gina Haspel She is an American Intelligence Officer and the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency. She has been nominated by US President Donald Trump to become CIA’s first woman chief.
28. Sanjitha Chanu She won the second gold medal for India in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She broke CWG record with a lift of 84kg in the snatch category and then lifted 108 in the clean & jerk to finish with a combined effort of 192kg.
29. Angela Merkel She is a German politician serving as Chancellor of Germany since 2005 and also leader of centre right Christian Democratic Union since 2000. In March 2018 she assumed office as the Chancellor of Germany for the fourth successive term.
30. Taniya Sanyal She has been appointed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) as its first ever woman firefighter. Till now aviation authority didn’t have any woman in its firefighter team.
31. Manika Batra She is a 22 year old paddler who won two gold, one silver and a bronze at 18th Gold Coast game held in Australia.
32. M C Mary Kom She is a 35 year old Olympic bronze winner. She won Gold medal at the 18th Gold Coast game held in Australia.
33. Olga Tokarczuk She is a polish writer who won has the prestigious Man Booker International Prize for fiction for Flights The prize is a counterpart to the Man Booker Prize for English-language novels and is open to books in any language that have been translated into English. The £50,000 ($67,000) award is split evenly between the writer and her translator, Jennifer Croft.
34. Sudha Balakrishnan She has taken charge as the first Chief Finanical Officer. She will be 12th executive director of the RBI. Formerly she was executive vice president of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL).
35. Abhilasha Kumari She has sworn in as first women Chief Justice of Manipur High Court which seats at Imphal capital of Manipur. Earlier she had been Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court.
36. Peggy Whitson She is NASA’s spacewoman. She has retired recently as astronaut after returning from her last and longest spaceflight. She is world’s most experienced female spacewalker. She was the first woman to command ISS holding the position twice.
37. Kunwar Bai A 106 year old woman from Chhatisgarh was chosen as mascot for ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ passed away due to prolonged illness. She had encouraged others from her village to built toilets.
38. Anandiben Patel She was former Gujarat CM. She has been appointed as Governor of MP. She succeeded Narendra Modi to became first woman CM of Gujarat.
39. Smriti Mandana She is Indian Women Cricket teams opener batsman. She became first Indian to compete for Kia T20 Super League in July 2018. She also has competed for Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League in Australia.
40. Anukreethy Vas She has been recently crowned as Femina Miss India 2018. She was previously crowned fbb Colours Femina Miss Tamil Nadu. She will now represent India at Miss World 2018 and she became the 55th winner of Miss India since its inception.
41. Pallavi Durua She was crowned as the first Tribal Queen of India at the Adi Rani Kalinga Tribal Queen competition. She belongs to Odisha's Koraput district. The prime objective of the event was to promote tribal art and culture.
42. Kalki Koechlin She was conferred with the French distinction of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) for her contribution in enhancing Indo-French ties in cinema. The award was presented by the Ambassador of France to India.
43. Harmanpreet Kaur She is the captain of Indian T20 team. She became the first Indian woman to score a hundred at WT20 cup which is being held in Windies.
44. Debjani Ghosh She has taken over as President of the National Association of Software and Services companies (Nasscom). She became the first woman to head tech body in 30 years.
45. Joyita Mandal Joyita Mondal Mahi became the first transgender judge of a Lok Adalat. Joyita is also a social worker from West Bengal, India.
46. Jamida Beevi She created history by becoming the first Muslim woman to lead Friday prayers in India. led around 30 men and women in namaaz in Kerala’s Malappuram district.
