West Bengal Sub-Inspector Selection Process:

West Bengal Police has released 957 vacancies for Sub-Inspector in the Subordinate Food & Supplies Service, Grade-III, under Food & Supplies Department, Govt. of West Bengal. In this article, you will get all information about Exam pattern, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, etc.

Total Number of Vacancy: 957

• Unreserved – 454, 
• SC – 208, 
• ST – 58, 
• OBC(A) – 98, 
• OBC(B) – 69,
• Ex Service Men -50 ( Unreserved- 40, SC-10) 
• Meritorious Sportsperson- 20(UR)

Note: The S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates of other States shall be treated as general candidates

Pay Scale: (PB-2) Rs.5,400/- to 25,200/- + G.P. Rs. 2,600/-
Besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 40 years

Crucial date for determining the age limit will be 1st January 2018.

Educational Qualification:

• Pass in Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent 
• The applicant must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali. 

Application Fee: Rs.110/-
SC/ST candidates of West Bengal are not required to pay any fee.

Selection Process:

• Written Examination
• Personality Test

Subjects	Marks	Duration
General Studies	50	90 minutes
Arithmetic	50

• Question paper will be set in two languages (English and Bengali)
• The Written Examination will be an OMR based examination.
