This year's Asian Games, also known as Jakarta Palembang 2018, has started from 18th August to 02nd September in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang. It is the second time when Jakarta is hosting the sports games after 1962. Here are the medals won by India in different events day wise.
1. Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian javelin thrower to win an Asian Games gold medal.
2. In Athletics, Neena Varakil got silver after leaping a distance of 6.51 metres in Women’s Long Jump Final.
3. Sudha Singh bagged silver in Women’s 3,000 metres Steeplechase event.
4. Dharun Ayyasamy got silver in 400 metres hurdles clocking 48.96 seconds.
5. Saina Nehwal settled for a Bronze in women’s singles Badminton.
