Rajasthan Public Service Commission has released 980 vacancies for Rajasthan Administrative Services and Rajasthan Taxation Services. In this article, you will get all information about Exam pattern, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, etc.

Start Date to apply online: 12th April 2018
Last Date for Submission of Application :  11th May 2018
Date for correction in online application: 12th May to 18th May 2018

Total Number of Vacancy: 980

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Upper age limit relaxation:

Crucial date for determining the age limit will be 1st January 2019.

Educational Qualification:

• The applicant must hold a Degree of any of the Universities recognized by the Government.
• Final year candidates can also apply for these posts, but he/she must complete required qualification from mains examination.

Application Fee:
General: Rs.350/-
OBC (Rajasthan): Rs.250/-

SC/ST (Rajasthan): Rs.150/-

Selection Process:
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains Examination
3. Personality and viva-voice Examination

Selection will be based on the basis of  marks in mains Examination and Interview.

1. Preliminary Examination

General Knowledge & General Science	200	3 hours

• Paper will be of objective type. 
• This is screening (qualifying in nature) test only. 
• The Standard of the paper will be that of a
• Bachelor’s Degree Level. 
• The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

2.  Mains Examination : -

Paper II	General Studies-II	200	3 hours
Paper III	General Studies-III	200	3 hours
Paper IV	General Hindi and General English	200	3 hours
	Total	800

• The written examination will consist of the following four papers which will be descriptive/analytical (brief, medium, long answer and descriptive type questions). 
• The standard of General Hindi and General English will be that of Sr. Secondary level. 

3. Personality and viva-voice Examination 
Marks: 100 marks

• In interviewing the candidates besides awarding marks in respect of character, personality, address, physique, marks shall also be awarded for the candidate’s knowledge of Rajasthani culture. 
• However for selection to the Rajasthan Police Service, candidates having ‘C’ Certificate of N.C.C. shall be given preference. 
• The marks so awarded shall be added to the marks obtained in the written test by each such candidate.

Note: All papers shall be answered either in Hindi or in English, but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any one paper partly in Hindi and partly in English unless specifically allowed to do so.
