The arduously agitated aspirants made SSC coerce to carry out a CBI enquiry into the SSC-CGL (Tier-II) Exam on 4 March and Home Minster Rajnath Singh informed the following day i.e. 5 March that the government had ordered a CBI probe.
The demands of 31st March SSC Protest which has got an alias of Yuva Halla Bol:
- Students are demanding that the CBI investigation be monitored by a Supreme Court-appointed committee, and that the SSC must not conduct any other exam until the probe is over. Their demands include resignation of Union Minister of State for Personnel, Jitendra Singh as well.
- Protesting youngsters not only want SC committee supervising the CBI probe, but also that the investigation not be limited to just the SSC-CGL Tier-II exam 2018. The demand is to investigate all tiers of all exams conducted by the SSC (such as the CHSL – combined higher secondary level examination) in the past one year.
- Another demand followed by the protest will be that all vacant government posts be filled fairly before 2019. Apparently, a total of 1,89,843 candidates had appeared for the SSC-CGL Tier-II exam this year and more than 4 lakh posts in the various central government ministries and departments are lying vacant.
Reasons to Protest:
- On 17 February, there were reports of one aspirant caught with the answer script before the examination in Delhi, and the same day the SSC cancelled the second shift of the exam at an exam centre in the Capital Delhi.
- On 21 February, the answer keys of the ongoing paper appeared on social media even as the exam was going on. SSC called it a technical problem while a section of candidates was enraged suspecting it to be an online cheating practice. However, this exam was re-conducted on 9 March, 2018.
Valid Reasons That Make This Protest Strong and Effective:
- Before there was a majority of aspirants who were agitated just by the rumors of cheating practices in prestigious exam like SSC CGL but after the Police team caught cheating racket practiced in Kota on 16th March 2018 and arrested four people for allegedly helping students to cheat in Staff Selection Commission (SSC) online exam, the protesters have corroborated reasons to condemn the conduct procedures of Exams and to ask for justice.
- Not enough days passed that a raid by a joint team of Uttar Pradesh Police STF and Delhi Police in Timarpur on 27th March caught a crime syndicate have admitted to leaking and helping some of the students enrolled with them solve the SSC question papers for almost 200 students so far. Further investigation is being practiced and there is no idea how big this nexus might be!
- The protest is by a crowd of youngsters who are only asking for a fair conduct of exam in every aspect. Being future of the country, this generation has much potential to utilize their rights in a pertinent and productive way. And this is the reason they have got a support by exemplary leaders and social thinkers.
Considering all the facts and ineluctable difficulties faced by the aspirants, ADDA247 in association with Career Power supports the Protest being held on 31st March, 2018 and will be present in Parliament Street with a motive to bolster the aspirants and make this protest peacefully successful.
Let’s shake hands together to lead a non-violent protest….
