RBI to release Rs 350 Coin

To commemorate the 350th Birht Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) set to released a Rs. 350 denomination coin.

This new limited edition coin will be made up of Quaternary Alloy- Silver (50 per cent), Copper (40 per cent), Nickel (05 per cent), and Zinc (05 per cent). The circumference of the coin will be 44 millimeters. The weight of the coin could vary from 34.65 grams to 35.35 grams.

Front Side of the Coin :
The front face of the coin will have Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend "Satyamev Jayate" inscribed below with "Bharat" in Devanagari script on the left and "India" in English on the right.

Back Side of the Coin :
The reverse side of the coin will have a picture of 'Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib' with the inscription "350TH PRAKASH UTSAV OF SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI" in Devanagari script on top and in English below. The years "1666" and "2016" will be flanked on the left and the right side.

The Reserve Bank hasn't specified how many coins will it release, but this coin will be limited edition.
