1. ENCOMIUM (Noun) : गुणानुवाद
Meaning: a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly.
Synonyms: accolade, salutation, commendation, dithyramb, eulogium, eulogy, homage, hymn, paean, panegyric, tribute
Antonyms: blame, criticism, censure, condemnation, denunciation, indictment, rebuke, reprimand, reproof, admonition, harangue.
Usage: Of the many statesmen who have written an encomium, Abraham Lincoln wrote one in praise of “The Great Invention of Writing.”

2. CLANDESTINE (Adjective) : गुप्त
Meaning:  kept secret or done secretively, especially because illicit.
Synonyms: covert, fraudulent, furtive, hole-and-corner, hush-hush, privy, sneaky, stealth, surreptitious, undercover.
Antonyms: legal, acknowledged, avowed, aboveboard, unconcealed, undisguised, unrestricted
clear, evident, manifest, obvious.
Usage: In the prison, some of the inmates have developed a clandestine means of selling drugs.

3. DICHOTOMY (Noun) : विरोधाभास
Meaning: a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different.
Synonyms:  disagreement, split, contradiction, incongruity, paradox, conundrum, enigma.
Antonyms: unity, consensus, agreement, similarity, likeness.
Usage: The dichotomy of nature versus nurture is an ongoing debate.

4. TUSSLE (Noun): संघर्ष
Meaning: a vigorous struggle or scuffle, typically in order to obtain or achieve something.
Synonyms: brawl, fray, battle, clash, combat, conflict, fracas, hassle, scrap, scrimmage, scuffle, skirmish.
Antonyms: surrender, retreat, accord, peace, harmony, agreement, truce.
Usage: Then we had another tussle over folding her napkin.

5. CADGE (Verb) : भीख माँगना
Meaning: ask for or obtain (something to which one is not strictly entitled).
Synonyms: scrounge, sponge, peddle, mooch, hawk, huckster, panhandle
Antonyms: donate, give, endow, procure.
Usage: Despite a lack of funds, the charming gambler was able to cadge a spot at the poker table.

6. WANDERLUST (Noun) : सफ़र का अनुराग
Meaning: a strong desire to travel.
Synonyms: driving, excursion, wandering, roaming, drifting, errantry, journey, vagabondism, flitting.
Antonyms: halt, inactivity, homesickness, hermit, wistfulness, hiraeth
Usage: Bob left school for a year to satiate his wanderlust for the Asia continent.

7. TEEM (Verb) : बहुतायात
Meaning: be full of or swarming with.
Synonyms: brim, overflow, bulge, burst, bustle, buzz, crawl, hum, overflow, swarm, abound
Antonyms: retreat, lack, need, want
Usage: Suddenly the river began to teem with salmon and the hungry bears eagerly took to the water for food.

8. ESPOUSE (Verb) : सहायता देना
Meaning: adopt or support (a cause, belief, or way of life).
Synonyms: adopt, advocate, affiance, betroth, commit, engage, pledge, promise, propose, marry, match.     
Antonyms: reject, refuse, forsake, give up, relinquish, abjure, abnegate, disown, repudiate, spurn, discard, jettison, junk, throw away.
Usage: Although most scientists espouse the Big Bang Theory for the beginning of the universe, there is still no absolute proof of how we got here.

9. RAPACIOUS (Adjective) : लालची
Meaning: aggressively greedy or grasping.
Synonyms: ravenous, avaricious, greedy, edacious, esurient, gluttonous, greedy, hoggish, piggish, voracious.
Antonyms:  generous, selfless, content, full, sated, satiated, satisfied, stuffed.
Usage: The Vikings had a reputation for being merciless conquerors, and they were rapacious about taking away as much loot from their raids as their ships could carry.

10. NOSTRUM (Noun) : इलाज
Meaning: a scheme or remedy for bringing about some social or political reform or improvement.
Synonyms: panacea, potion, elixir, cure-all, theriac, cure, quick fix, treatment, remedy.
Antonyms: disease, injury, illness, poison.
Usage: Does garlic actually cure colds or is this remedy simply another nostrum?
