Answers

  1. Solution: c ranging and detection fulfil the sentence correctly as ranging means to vary from and in both the sentences the things are varying as in a) it is varying from customer service to sales and marketing to fraud and in b) it is varying from crowd control and screening through to drug so the varying option in V part is also correct but we cannot refine the fraud we can detect it so detection is the correct choice for second part.
  2. Solution: I only c in a sentence should be in simple present instead of present continuous so it should be leverages.
  3. Solution: In b fortified will be used because the sentence is in past indefinite as imposed us used in the first part of the sentence
  4. Solution: d in C across will be used instead of around
  5. Solution: b in a carries ‘out’ will be used instead of ‘off’. In b we should use against with attacks here. In D accused of is the right usage. Hence only option C) is grammatically correct.
  6. Solution: e the given sentence is grammatically correct.
  7. Solution: a  In D backed will be used instead of backing because of passive voice
  8. Solution: E other will be used instead of one another as according to the sentence the word one another is irrelevant.
