International Current Affairs
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today became the 1st Indian Prime Minister to visit Palestine after he arrived in Ramallah as part of his three-nation tour.

- Aim of this visit : Strengthening India's ties with the Gulf and West Asian region.
- Today (10th February) is National Deworming Day.

- This day is being observed to combat parasitic worm infections among preschool and school-age children across India.
- The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved the construction of 1,86,777 more affordable houses under its flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

- The approval was given at the 30th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee.
Banking, Business & Economic Affairs
- India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) today announced that it will start pan-India roll out of its network from April this year.

- All 1.55 lakh post office branches will operate as access points and 650 payments bank branches will provide them back-end support.
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cautioned people about a fake website in its name which is asking for personal and confidential banking details of bank customers.

- The layout of the fake website, www.indiareserveban.org, is similar to that of the original RBI website.
- Further, the RBI also cautioned the public about other fake websites such as www.rbi.org and www.rbi.in.
- The government has directed the banks to only accept online applications for education loans in a bid to make the loan disbursement process transparent and efficient.
- India's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) reported a loss of ₹2,416.4 crore for the December quarter, marking its first quarterly loss in at least 17 years.
- Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh presents Budget for the financial year 2018-2019. With an outlay of Rs. 83,179 crore, the budget focuses on infrastructure, school education and agriculture.
MOUs & Agreements
- India and Palestine signed 6 agreements on the infrastructural development in the Palestine.

- MOU for setting up of a India-Palestine Super-specialty hospital at Beit Sahour in Bethelhem Governorate at a cost of USD 30 million.
- MOU for the construction of an India Palestine Centre for empowering women, "Turathi" at a cost of USD 5 million.
- MOU for setting up of a new National Printing Press at Ramallah at a cost of USD 5 million.
- MOU for the construction of a school in Muthalth Al Shuhada Village at a cost of USD 1 million.
- MOU for the construction of school in Tamoon village in Tubas Governorate in Palestine at a cost of USD 1.1 million.
- MOU for Assistance of USD 0.25 million for the construction of an additional floor to Jawahar Lal Nehru for Boys at Abu Dees.
Science & Technology
- The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed Rs.136 crore fine on world’s most popular search engine Google for unfair business practices in Indian market for online search.

- The penalty was imposed on Google for infringing anti-trust conduct.
Books & Authors
- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today released the Hindi Version of "ExamWarriors" written by PM Narendra Modi in Delhi.

- The English version of Exam Warriors was released on 3 February by Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar.
- This book is meant for students and deals with the issue of making exams stress free.
- The book also prescribes yoga exercises among other stress busting methods to excel in exams and fight stress.
Awards & Honors
- In a special recognition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contribution to relations between Palestine and India, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas conferred the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine on him.

Sports Current Affairs
- The Indian contingent won a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Asian Para-Cycling Championships held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.
- South Africa is playing the fourth ODI against India in Johannesburg today dressed in pink to mark 'Pink Day' to create awareness for breast cancer in the country.

- Note : South Africa had played the first-ever Pink ODI against Pakistan in 2013.
