Dear students, the year 2017 is going to end very soon. Many of you would have achieved your goals this year while a few must be waiting for the new year to bring better opportunities and success in their lives. All that couldn't be accomplished in this year has to be attained in the upcoming year, 2018. As the year 2018 approaches with new hopes, one must keep in mind that all of us here wish for a sybaritic life but only a hope with a mix of travail will get us there.

Success does not lie in outcomes but in efforts. Being the best is not important, doing the best is all that matters. Many of you must be down in dumps because of your poor performance in this year's examinations. Students, have you ever noticed a toddler who is learning to walk? He stumbles and falls numerous times before getting it right. Your mistakes are the best learning opportunities. It takes failure after failure to finally achieve something. You have to believe in yourself that you can and you are halfway there. Never regret anything, because, every little step of your life, including your mistakes, takes you a stride ahead of where you were and made you who you are today.

There exist limitless opportunities in the banking industry that are yet to come. Where there is an open mind, there will always be a frontier. What you need to do is to cut through whatever comes in your way to success and come up trumps in this upcoming year, 2018. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power. You still have enormous time to prepare for the exams that are queued up to be held in the upcoming year.

If you brush yourself off and keep pressing forward, you will definitely get a second bite at the cherry to get it right. A brand new year awaits you to let you grow yourself into someone who travails all day and night to perform to the best of his/her ability against all odds. Always remember, no matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress,you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.

Don’t waste your time being upset about something that cannot be changed. Start over right now, implement the lessons you have learned from your mistakes this year, and do it better in the upcoming year.
