- Capture - to catch someone so that they become your prisoner
- Prompt - to cause something to happen or be done
- Policing - the control of an area or a problem by police
- Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
- Bureau - an organization that provides information or services
- Underlying causes - underlying causes, facts, ideas etc are the real or basic ones, although they are not obvious or directly stated

- Heinous - a heinous act or crime is extremely evil
- Juvenile - a young person who has committed a crime or is accused of committing a crime
- Conflict - angry disagreement between people or groups
- Uphold - to show that you support something such as an idea by what you say or do
- Genuine - real, rather than pretended or false
- Superintendence - to be in charge of an activity or job and to check that it is done correctly
- Transparent - open and honest, without secrets
- Accountable - in a position where people have the right to criticize you or ask you why something happened
- Impunity - freedom from any risk of being punished for doing something wrong or bad
- Mandatory - something that is mandatory must be done, or is demanded by law
- Cognisable - within the jurisdiction of a court
- Passively - in an accepting manner, without active response or resistance
- Bit of a bubble - overpriced
- Cryptocurrency - a digital currency produced by a public network, rather than any government, that uses cryptography to make sure payments are sent and received safely
- Dizzying - making you feel confused
- Investor - a person or organization that invests money
- Meteoric - becoming very successful very quickly
- Breaching - to get through something such as a wall / fence / a perticular boundary
- Enthusiast - someone who is very interested in something or excited by it and spends time doing it or learning about it
- Mainstream - considered ordinary or normal and accepted or used by most people
- Merely - only / just
- Stateless - related to no country
- Blockchain - a public record of transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency in chronological order
- Exotic - interesting or exciting because of being unusual or not familiar
- Sceptic - someone who has doubts about things that other people think are true or right
- Cautionary - warning someone that they should be careful
- Critic - someone who does not like something and states their opinion about it
- Fraud - the crime of obtaining money from someone by tricking them
- Medium of exchange - something that people agree has value and can be used as money, for example gold
- Virtually - used for emphasizing that a statement is almost completely true
- Walk of life - the job someone does or the position they have in society
- Yield - to make a profit
