SSC IMD Scientific Assistant 2017 Exam Analysis[10:00-12:00]
Dear Readers, Now it's time for IMD Exam Analysis (Review) i.e. 10:00-12:00 noon. We are providing Exam analysis of IMD Exam, so that all other aspirants can get an overall and clear idea about exam pattern and difficulty level. The IMD Exam 2017 is being held in ONLINE mode for the first time. but exam pattern has changed from last year (which was last held in 2011). So dear students, without much ado, let's get straight to the detailed Exam analysis.

For example:
NOTE: Based on the special SUBJECT code as mentioned above, after login, the candidates would get the question paper of his/her selected option. Candidate once logged in with a special SUBJECT code shall NOT BE ALLOWED to CHANGE it later. In case of RE-LOGIN due to system error or infrastructure issue, candidates are required to continue with the same SUBJECT CODE selected at the time of FIRST LOGIN, otherwise his/her responses would NOT be evaluated under any circumstances.

IMD Examination Instructions:
- Candidates are required to choose any one option out of the Part-II at the time of Exam Login.
- Candidates shall login using their USER ID (10 Digit roll number) followed by a SUFFIX – a special CODE (single alphabet) for each specialised subject of PART-II of the QUESTION PAPER) as described below -
- ‘P’- PHYSICS
- ‘C’ - COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
- ‘E’ - ELECTRONICS & TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
For example:
- Candidate opting for PHYSICS in PART-II, is to login with their ROLL NUMBER followed by code ‘P’ : 1234567890P
- Candidate opting for COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY in PART-II, is to login with their ROLL NUMBER followed by code ‘C’: 1234567890C
- Candidate opting for ELECTRONICS & TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING in PART-II, is to login with their ROLL NUMBER followed by code ‘E’: 1234567890E
- PASSWORD is DATE OF BIRTH of candidate to be entered in DDMMYYYY format ONLY.

IMD Exam Analysis: General Awareness
This came as a surprise where most of the questions were based on Current Affairs. Apart from these, few questions were from Economics, Polity, History and rest of the General Awareness Topics. So we only have to say that the decent number of attempts would lie somewhere around 12-13 in this section.Some questions from Exam:

Part-II contains Physics or Computer Science and Information Technology or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering:
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering:
In exam, 80% Questions were theory based and 20% directly formula based.Directly Formula based questions were asked in electronics and communication and mostly question are from analog communication. Questions were asked from counter and flip flop.
Computer Science and Information Technology
There were 6 questions from DBMS (Data Base Management System) and 8 questions were from Networking and 9 were from programming and 10 questions from basic hardware.
Physics
Physics is mostly conceptual and 20 percent problems were from direct formulas.
