Current Affairs for SSC Junior Engineer Exam 2017

Dear Readers, Staff Selection Commission will hold the examination from 22nd January 2018 to 25th January 2018  in a computer based pattern. ➤ भारतीय महिला टीम ने एशिया कप जीतकर हॉकी विश्व कप के लिए योग्यता प्राप्त की 

⦿ India has defeated China 5-4 via shootout to win the women’s Asia Cup hockey title 2017. With this, India also qualified for World Cup 2018 as Continental champion.
➤ भारत ने शूटआउट में चीन को 5-4 से हराकर महिला एशिया कप हॉकी खिताब 2017 जीता. इसके साथ ही, भारत ने महाद्वीपीय चैंपियन के रूप में विश्व कप 2018 की योग्यता प्राप्त कर ली है.

⦿ Savita Punia was adjudged Goalkeeper-of-the-Tournament while Monica won the Woman-of-the-Match award.

⦿ Minister of Communications Shri Manoj Sinha launched a Pan India scholarship program for school children called Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana to increase the reach of Philately.

➤ संचार मंत्री श्री मनोज सिन्हा ने दीन दयाल स्पर्श (SPARSH) योजना नामक स्कूली बच्चों के लिए पैन इंडिया छात्रवृत्ति कार्यक्रम शुरू किया, ताकि डाक टिकट की पहुंच बढ़ सके.

⦿ Philately is the hobby of collection and study of Postage stamps.

➤  डाक-टिकट संग्रहण (Philately) डाक टिकटों का संग्रह और अध्ययन करने का शौक है

⦿ Under the scheme of SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby), it is proposed to award annual scholarships to children of Standard VI to IX having good academic record and also pursuing Philately as a hobby. The amount of Scholarship will be Rs. 6000/- per annum @ Rs. 500/- per month. 

➤ स्पर्श[(SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby)] योजना के तहत छठी से नौवीं कक्षा तक अच्छे अंकों को प्राप्त करने वाले तथा डाक-टिकट संग्रहण में रूचि रखने वाले बच्चों को सालाना वार्षिक छात्रवृत्ति देने का प्रस्ताव है.छात्रवृत्ति की राशि प्रति माह 500 रूपये की दर से सालाना 6000 रूपये होगी.
