  • Unreason - inability to act or think reasonably
  • Eradicating - to get rid of something completely, especially something bad
  • Superstition - a belief that things such as magic or luck have the power to affect your life
  • Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair
  • Mere - used for emphasizing that something is small or unimportant
  • Curb - to control or limit something that is harmful
  • Prevalence - commonness
  • Inhuman - extremely cruel, and not caring when other people are suffering
  • Ritual - a formal ceremony
  • Black magic - a type of magic in which people communicate with evil spirits and use evil powers
  • Offend - to make someone upset and angry by doing or saying something
  • Dignity - respect that other people have for you or that you have for yourself
  • Exploitation - unfair treatment of someone
  • Gullible - a gullible person is easy to trick because they trust and believe people too easily
  • Vulnerable - someone who is vulnerable is weak or easy to hurt physically or mentally

  • Withstand -  to be strong enough not to be harmed or destroyed by something
  • Constitutionality - the quality of being allowed by the constitution of a particular country or organization
  • Outlaw - to make something illegal or unacceptable
  • Branding - burn with iron
  • Piercing - the process of making a hole in the body
  • Irrational - not using reason or clear thinking
  • Prevailing - existing in a particular place or at a particular time
  • Periphery - the less important part of a group or activity
  • Incompatible - not able to exist or work with another person or thing because of basic differences
  • Exploitative - using someone unfairly for your own advantage
  • Denounce - to criticize something or someone strongly and publicly
  • Exorcism - to force an evil spirit to leave a person or place by using prayers or magic
  • Decry - to criticize something as bad, without value, or unnecessary
  • Possessed - someone who is possessed is thought to be controlled by an evil spirit
  • Perspective - a particular way of considering something
  • Rationalist - someone whose actions and decisions are based on reason rather than emotions or beliefs
  • Ultimately  - finally, used to emphasize the most important fact in a situation
  • Liberate  - to help someone or something to be free
  • Abominable - very bad or unpleasant
  • Violate - to break or act against something, especially a law, agreement, principle, or something that should be treated with respect

  • Ageing - becoming old
  • Evoke - to bring a particular emotion, idea, or memory into your mind
  • Matrix - an arrangement of connected things
  • Signpost - a sign next to a road showing where something is
  • Giant -  an imaginary person in stories, who is extremely tall, strong, and often evil
  • Dystopia - an imaginary place or situation in which everything in society is extremely bad
  • Clone - an exact copy of an animal or plant created in a laboratory from the animal’s or plant’s DNA
  • Harvest - to collect or obtain something
  • Crisis - an urgent, difficult, or dangerous situation
