  • Minor - someone who is too young to have the legal responsibilities of an adult
  • Implication - a possible effect or result
  • Anomaly - something unusual, unexpected, or different from what normally happens
  • Offence - a crime or illegal activity for which there is a punishment
  • Regardless of - without being affected or influenced by anything else that happens or exists
  • Consent - permission to do something
  • Exception - someone or something that is not included in a rule, group, or list or that does not behave in the expected way
  • Provided - only if a particular thing happens or is done
  • Statutory - controlled by a law or statute
  • Permissible - allowed to be done by a law or rule
  • Harmonise - creating, amending and abolishing laws
  • Reformist - wanting to change and improve society or an institution
  • Indisputably - in a way that cannot be challenged or denied
  • Infringement - the action of breaking the terms of a law, agreement, etc
  • Extensively - in a way that covers or affects a large area
  • Adversely - in a way that prevents success or development; harmfully
  • Advancement - progress in your career
  • Autonomy - the power to make your own decisions
  • Deprive - if you deprive someone of something, you take it away from them or prevent them from having it
  • Enforcement - the process of making sure that something happens, especially that people obey a law or rule
  • Condemn - to say publicly that you think someone or something is bad or wrong
  • Prevalence - the fact that something is very common
  • Desirable - something that is desirable has qualities that make you want it

  • Consensual - agreed to by all the people involved
  • Significantly - in a way that is easy to see
  • Penetrative sex - penetrative sex involves a man putting his penis into someone’s body during sex

  • Heinous - a heinous act or crime is extremely evil
  • Prospect - the possibility that something will happen
  • Juvenile - relating to young people who have committed a crime or who are accused of committing a crime
  • Moot question - a question that people disagree about
  • Prevalence - the fact that something is very common in a particular place or among a particular group
  • Standpoint - a way of considering something
  • Implication - a possible effect or result
  • Verdict -  an official judgment made in a court

  • Crisis - an urgent, difficult, or dangerous situation
  • Confrontation - a situation in which people or groups are arguing angrily or are fighting
  • Dialogue - a process in which two people or groups have discussions in order to solve problems
  • Federal - a federal country or system is one in which individual states make their own laws, but a national government is responsible for areas such as defence and foreign policy
  • Stalemate - a situation in which progress is impossible because the people or groups involved cannot agree
  • Steadfast - not changing your opinions or actions, because you have a strong belief in someone or something
  • Sovereignty - the right of a country to rule itself
  • Integrity - the quality of being complete or whole, without any missing parts
  • Insist - to say very firmly that something must happen or must be done
  • Referendum - an occasion when everyone in a country can vote to make a decision about one particular subject
  • Ally - a country that makes an agreement with another country that they will work together to help each other, especially in a war
  • Coalition - a temporary union of different political parties that agree to form a government together
  • Proclamation - an official announcement, especially about something important, or something that affects everyone
  • Negotiate - to try to reach an agreement by discussing something in a formal way, especially in a business or political situation
  • Mediation - intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it
  • Conflicting - describes two or more things that cannot all be right or cannot all happen at the same time
  • Whatsoever - used for emphasizing a negative statement
  • Relent - to change your mind about not allowing something to happen or not letting someone do something
  • Ascertain - to find out something
  • Trigger - to make something happen
  • Obduracy - stubbornness and narrow-mindedness (refusing to change your opinions or plans, in a way that does not seem reasonable)
  • Circumstance - a fact or condition that affects a situation
  • Vindicate - to prove that someone is right, or that something they said, did, or decided was right, especially when most people believed they were wrong
  • Abandon - to leave
  • Condemnation - a public statement in which someone criticizes someone or something severely
  • Violent - using force to hurt or attack
  • Grim - grim news, situations, or events are unpleasant and make you feel upset and worried
  • Separatist - a member of a group of people who want to be independent of a national, religious, or other group to which they belong
  • Untenable - impossible to continue because of serious problems, opposition, or criticism
  • Inclined - tending to behave in a particular way or to be interested in a particular thing
  • Interlocutor - someone who you are having a conversation with
  • Sizeable - fairly large
  • Ramification - a complicated or unexpected way in which a decision, process, or event affects other things
  • Rhetoric - a style of speaking or writing that is intended to influence people
  • Constructively - in a manner which is intended to be useful or helpful
  • Aspiration - something that you want to achieve, or the wish to achieve something
  • Precipitate - to make something happen or begin to exist suddenly and quickly, especially something bad
  • Speculation - ideas or discussion about why something has happened or what might happen
  • Interventionism - a government policy of becoming involved in the economy, or of trying to influence economic and other social issues in another country
  • Posture - an attitude, or the way that someone behaves towards other people
  • Relapse -  to return to your previous character or behaviour
  • Overture - a suggestion or offer that you make to someone
