Dear students, Uttar Pradesh Police Department will conduct online Examination for the recruitment of male candidates as a Sub-inspector, Platoon commander, PAC and fire extinguisher. The exam will be conducted from 17th July 2017 to 31st July 2017. It is a great opportunity for all of you who want to be the part of Police Administration. This job is challenging yet powerful. We are sure you must have prepared hard to get good marks in written test. Only 3 days are left. So, in these last remaining days, you need to have a good look at the examination system. In order to perform excellently, you should know every aspect and correct approach to attempt the exam. So, students let's discuss exam pattern and strategy in detail. 


Some Important highlights For UP SI 2016 Exam:
  • The Exam will be conducted in online mode. 
  • The Exam will be conducted from 17th July to 31st July 2017. 
  • There will be total 160 questions (400 marks) to be attempted in 2 hours.
  • Candidates need to score at least 50% Marks in every subject in written test to be considered for the result. 
  • The Exam paper will be bilingual- Hindi And English. except the General Hindi Subject.
  • There will be no negative marking, 2.5 marks will be awarded for every correct answer. 
  • Since the exam will be conducted in different shifts with unique exam papers, there will be Normalization process for Marks.

General Hindi: There will be 40 Questions and 100 marks for this section. You can practise questions on this HINDI Quiz Page. Since there is no negative marking you need to attempt maximum questions in the given time period. Remember, You need to score 50% or more to qualify for each section. 

Basic Law/Constitution (24 questions) and General Knowledge (16 questions)- total marks for this section- 100. This area focuses either legal reasoning or legal GK questions. Questions will be asked from basic legal rules and basic constitution of India topics. To master legal reasoning questions, candidates must learn and understand legal principles relating to laws of torts, contracts, crimes, family law and general principles of law. Also, the Civics/Political Science school text books can be a great help in mastering Constitution and Indian Polity, a major area for legal knowledge questions.Remember, You need to score 50% or more to qualify for each section. 

Quantitative Aptitude: There will be 40 questions and 100 marks for this section. In this section, the candidates will be tested primarily on “elementary” mathematics. mainly calculations based. i.e., The areas one needs to be comfortable with are percentages, profit, and loss, ratio, proportion and variation, simple equation, averages, time and work, time and distance, ie, arithmetic and nothing else. Just master the concepts and formulae and practicing from ssc adda quizzes and study notes would suffice. Remember, You need to score 50% or more to qualify for each section. 

Reasoning: In this section also there will be 40 questions and 100 marks.The purpose of the reasoning section is to test the student’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. questions might also be asked from, number series, alpha numeric series, blood relation, direction, odd one out, analogy visual and non-verbal reasoning. So be prepared for any kind of reasoning topics. Remember, You need to score 50% or more to qualify for each section.
