1.Lambaste (verb)
Meaning: criticize (someone or something) harshly.
Synonyms: criticize, castigate, chastise, censure, condemn, take to task, harangue, attack, rail at, rant at, revile, fulminate against.
Example: Mr. Corbyn, whose anti-monarchist, anti-conflict views already had many of Britain’s tabloids in a tizzy, was lambasted for supposedly refusing to bow as he laid a wreath at the ceremony. 

2.Catharsis (noun)
Meaning: the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions.
Synonym: purging, purgation, purification, cleansing,
Example: "music is a means of catharsis for them"

3.Bigotry (noun) 
Meaning: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc.: a bigoted person
Synonym: dogmatist, partisan
Example: a deeply ingrained bigotry prevented her from even considering the counterarguments

4.Rambunctious (adjective)
Meaning: uncontrolled in a way that is playful or full of energy
Synonym: hell-raising, knockabout
Example: that beach is often taken over by packs of rambunctious young people, so don't go there expecting peace and quiet.

5.Commensurate (adjective)
Meaning: corresponding in size or degree; in proportion.
Synonyms: equivalent, equal, corresponding, correspondent, comparable, proportionate.
Example: The advantage that the U.S. and other developed countries have gained from the Paris Accord is that all economies, including China and India, are being made to take action on climate change without any commensurate guarantees from the former on funding and transfer of technology.

6.Enormous (adjective)
Meaning: very large in size, quantity, or extent.
Synonyms: huge, vast, extensive, expansive, broad, wide;
Example: But there is cause for concern. Internet companies’ control of data gives them enormous power.

7.Avowed (adjective)
Meaning: that has been asserted, admitted, or stated publicly.
Example: An avowed socialist, he has no qualms talking about re-nationalising infrastructure or raising taxes on businesses and the wealthy, an approach shunned by Labour since the days of Tony Blair. 

8.Nuance (noun)
Meaning: a subtle difference in or shade of meaning, expression, or sound.
Synonyms: fine distinction, subtle distinction/difference, shade, shading, gradation, variation. 
Example: with bilateral Test tours, the odd tri-series, the rare friendship match setting up individual sub-plots (such as the Sachin Tendulkar-Shoaib Akhtar competitiveness), imbuing nuance (a record of relative strengths in different formats and conditions putting each victory/loss in perspective) and reminding the viewer of context.

9.Precursor (noun)
Meaning: a person or thing that comes before another of the same kind; a forerunner.
Synonyms: forerunner, predecessor, forefather, father, parent, antecedent, ancestor, forebear, progenitor;
Example: A collection of addresses by Justice K.K. Mathew along with excerpts from his judicial opinions, published in 1978 under the title Democracy, Equality and Freedom, became the first work of its kind in Indian legal literature. Regrettably, it was also the last! The hope expressed by its editor, Prof. Upendra Baxi, that it would be the precursor of similar literary ventures in the future remained unfulfilled.

10.Expound (verb)
Meaning: present and explain (a theory or idea) in detail.
Synonyms: present, put forward, set forth, proffer, offer, advance, propose, propound, frame, give an account of, recount; 
Example: But for the illuminating and exhaustive 86-page introduction expounding the judicial creativity and craftsmanship of the judge, K.K. Mathew would have been just one judge out of  a roll-call of 186 judges who had sat in India’s Supreme Court.
