World Bank has projected 7.2% has the Growth Rate of India in 2017:

World Bank’s Global Economic Prospects (GEP) has projected the India’s growth rate for the financial year 2017 as 7.2%. Previously in 2016, India’s growth rate  was 6.8%. The report also expects India’s growth rate to remain at 7.5% in 2018 and 7.7% in 2019. It also said, despite the slight slump in growth rate India still remains the fastest growing major economy in the world. The growth projections for China remains unchanged at 6.5 per cent for 2017 and then 6.3 per cent for the next two years 2018 and 2019.

Urban Development Minister launched the source segregation campaign at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi:

M Venkaiah Naidu, Urban Development Minister has launched the source segregation campaign at Talkatora Stadium. Urban local bodies of Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad will be covered in the campaign. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu urged the people to dump wet waste in Green bins and dry waste in Blue bins. He said, people's participation is important for the success of this campaign.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated a new bridge on Savitri River:
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated a new bridge on Savitri River at Mahad on Mumbai-Goa highway in Maharashtra. The new bridge was constructed after the old British era bridge had collapsed last year on August 2 due to heavy rains claiming 42 lives. Two state transport buses and a private car were washed away in the mishap. After this mishap Nitin Gadkari had visited the place and assured to build a new bridge within six months. The construction of the new bridge started on December 15 last year and it is completed in record 165 days.

Six Arab countries have declared not to maintain diplomatic relationship with Qatar:

Six countries of the Arab region have cut off their diplomatic ties with Qatar. Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Yemen, Libya and Egypt have all accused Doha for destabilising the region and have declared not to maintain any diplomatic relations with immediate effect.
Qatar Foreign Ministry has regretted the decision of the Arab countries cutting off diplomatic ties. According to news channel Al Jazeera, Qatar Foreign Ministry said to cut off diplomatic relations claiming Doha's alleged support for terrorism has no basis and is not justified. It also said, the decision will not affect the normal lives of citizens and residents.

Nepal has signed a mega hydro project deal with Chinese Company:
Nepal has signed a major deal with a Chinese company to develop hydroelectric project to produce 1,200 MW. This is the biggest hydro project in the landlocked country that could resolve its perennial power crisis.
Nepal’s Ministry of Energy signed an MoU with China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) for the development of the much-touted 1,200 MW Budhigandaki Hydroelectric Project.
The agreement was signed at the Prime Minister’s residence, in the presence of outgoing Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong.

ISRO to launching India's heaviest satellite using launch vehicle GSLV Mark III D-1:

The countdown for historic launch of GSLV Mark III D-1 is progressing well at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta.
The newly developed indigenous launch vehicle is set to insert the communication satellite GSAT-19 into a geosynchronous transfer orbit after it blasts off from the second launch pad of the spaceport at 5.28 pm today (5th June 2016).
This is the first ever developmental flight for the 4-ton class vehicle, powered by the indigenous cryogenic upper stage of 20 tonnes thrust. In this test flight, the ISRO's most powerful ever rocket is set to carry the satellite of 3136 kg lift off mass into space, the heaviest ever to be launched from Indian soil.

Ganeshan Neelakanta Iyer,  First Indian to be in inducted as a member in International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) URC:

Umpires and Referees Committee (URC) by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has nominated Ganeshan Neelakanta Iyer as a member; he is the first Indian to get this honour. He will remain in this position for next two years and the duration may increase. And also Ganeshan Neelakanta Iyer was recommended as the Technical Commissioner from Asia to the ITTF for four years.

Indian Shuttler B Sai Praneeth has won Thailand Grand Prix Gold title:

Sai Praneeth won the title by title by defeating Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie 17-21, 21-18, 21-19 which was held at Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok in Thailand. Previously Praneeth had defeated India’s Srikanth Kidambi (World No. 15 as on 1st June 2017) and won the Singapore Open Superseries badminton title.

Champions Trophy: India Won Pakistan by 124 runs:

India won Pakistan by 124 runs under Duckworth Lewis method in Champions Trophy cricket match at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Put in to bat, defending champions India notched up a competitive 319 runs for three after two rain interruptions reduced the match to 41 overs. While chasing the revised target of 289 runs in 41 overs, Pakistan bundled out at 164 runs in 33.4 overs.
Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 91, while skipper Virat Kholi remained unbeaten on 81. Shikhar Dhawan made 68, while Yuvraj Singh contributed 53. Yuvraj Singh named Player of the Match. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field.
