AFCAT 2017 Vacancies Out

Indian Air Force has released Commissioned Officer vacancies for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying & Permanent Commission (PC)/ Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 02/ 2017: Courses Commencing in July 2018.

  • Logistics
  • Accounts
  • Education


Last Date to Apply Online: 29.06.2017

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview.

AFCAT Exam (Multiple Choice Questions) will be held on 27th August 2017.
Time Duration: 2 hrs
Subjects: Verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and military aptitude.

Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) would be for 45 minutes and conducted immediately after AFCAT. 

Note: Candidates who are opting for Ground Duty (technical) branch have to pass both AFCAT & EKT.

Age Limit :
Minimum Age: 20 yrs

Training:
  • Training is scheduled to commence in the first week of July 2018 for all courses .
  • The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks
  • The duration of Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.
