5 Tips To Crack IBPS RRB PO 2017

June 27, 2017

1. Know all about the pattern of examination.

For RRB PO, IBPS introduced prelims examination last year and only two sections were asked in the exam, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. But you must have noticed how the pattern of all the banking examinations has changed dramatically this year, so one cannot expect the same pattern this year too. There is a possibility that a few more sections can be included to the prelims examination this year. The difficulty level of the IBPS RRB examination has never been too high, but this year, as the difficulty level of all other bank examinations has only increased, you can expect difficult questions in prelims as well as mains examination.
IBPS releases state-wise cut-off for RRB PO. If we talk about the last year's cut off, it was comparatively high, possibly the highest in 2016, as the questions asked were of easy to moderate level. Note that it can vary as per the difficulty level of the examination. Many of you must be in a dilemma about choosing one language subject out of two. The two language subjects are English and Hindi Language. If we talk about last year, candidates who opted for English Language scored more marks in the language section as compared to those who opted for Hindi Language as Hindi Language test was comparatively difficult. But it’s only up to you, if you think you can do better in Hindi Language then go for Hindi Language only.
If your concepts on any topic are not clear, you can watch free Youtube videos and be on the ball to face IBPS RRB PO 2017. There are many E-books and Study Notes available on various topics. Video Courses too are available for those who cannot join Classroom Programs but wanted to. You can also apply for IBPS Coaching Classes if you think your concepts are not that clear and you are not even able to clear them out on your own.
2. Plan it
Prepare a study plan. Such a time-table would assist you in completing the target syllabus on time. Organize all the things you have to do and fix your timetable around it. The following sections are asked in IBPS RRB: Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Language/Hindi Language, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry), and Computer Knowledge. Making a time table inculcates a sense of discipline; the aspirant is bound to give a certain amount of time to a particular subject or topic. IBPS will be releasing the RRB notification within a week or two. As you are not left with much of time for your preparations, you need to dedicate most of your everyday hours to your studies only. Once you are done with the topics in advance, you get enough of extra hours to revise everything that you have already done. Regular studies reduce the level of stress, as the amount of topics to be done does not accumulate into blizzards, hence provide the aspirant with a better physical and mental health. If you do not revise the topics that you studied months back, you end up remembering nothing at all.
3. Assess your progress
Practicing with Test Series helps you ace the original tests/examinations. You can identify what topics you are good at and where you lack. That way, in the original examination, you will choose to attempt the very section first that you are very good, or say fast at. Adda247 test series encompass a range of questions that match the level of frequently asked questions, previous year questions, and new pattern questions for RRB Prelims as well as Mains Examination. Computer based Test Series for IBPS RRB PO also help you save your time as they simulate the real tests and let you know you how to attempt the questions in a way that you are able to attempt maximum number of questions within the given time limit. It also gives you an All India Rank so as you can assess where you stand and how much more you need to work. Understand the syllabus by going through past year’s papers and official guidelines. Practicing previous year’s papers is also very important as it helps in familiarizing the aspirants with the pattern of the exam. Being aware of the pattern of examination is not enough as the pattern of examination keeps changing. So, what you need to do is to prepare as per a level that is a few steps ahead of the level of previous examination. So, test series and previous year papers actually play a very important role in your preparations.
4. Read newspapers
If you want to do well in the examination, reading a newspaper is a must do activity as it helps you know what is happening around the world. So much is happening every day that unless you keep yourself abreast of these changes you cannot adjust yourself to them or tackle the GA section of IBPS RRB PO exam 2017 easily. Also avoid focusing on the news that is unimportant from the point of examination. Try to read Business or Economy based newspapers more as most of the questions asked in GA Section are from this section only. If you do not have enough of time to go through the whole newspaper, we provide you with an alternative that is our “Daily GK Update” (Available in both Hindi and English languages) that contains only the news that is important from the point of view of competitive examinations. Reading newspapers also helps you perform well at Personal Interview round as most of the questions asked are based on current affairs only. Your vocabulary and English skills can also be improved if you maintain reading newspapers on a regular basis. So, reading English newspaper helps you deal with three different parts of the examination.
5. Prepare for Mains Examination
Most of the aspirants prepare only for prelims examination and think they will prepare for the mains examination only after they have qualified the prelims examination. Students, if you prepare like this, you will be left with a limited amount of time for mains examination. And the important thing to note is that mains examination is much more difficult as compared to prelims examination. So, if you do not prepare for mains examination from the very beginning, you will not be able to finish all of your preparations within the limited period of time that you get after you have qualified for prelims examination. So, if you prepare for the mains examination from the start, you will not only perform well at mains examination, but will easily crack the prelims examination too (as it will be easier).
